Chromatislaps 34,821
A lot of hunties here are waiting for THAT RnB BOP album...and who other is better than Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins to produce an album full of RnB/Pop fusion bops? (perhaps Timbaland ) Bare with me, his productions are amazing!!! His production work on Michael Jackson's Invincible album, Brandy's Full Moon, Brandy's Human album, Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love is impeccable . Of course he produced one of Gagz ha biggest hits...so why not an album with more Darkchild songs? Some songs he produced So should Gagz invite Rodney to make some bops? The Louvre 3,423
Oh yes Gaga. Lady Gaga, Darkchild Don't call my name, call my name, call my name, If no one is around you, call me Joanne I love you It's said the map of the world is on you. The moon gravitates around you. The seasons escape you.
Inferno 2,880
I genuinely like his pop productions and i'd absolutely be here for it. But I think its obvious Gaga is not. She spoke of recording Telephone as being stressful and she never worked with him after that so im assuming something went down.

As I recall it was stressful due to it not making the cut on Britney's Circus album, and also because when she wanted to release it for TFM the song was very complicated to get the sounds right, I presume there were a lot of iterations of Telephone...and Gaga never felt like it was finished until it was completed for TFM. It had nothing to do with their collaboration in the studio as far as I recall her talking about it.

Im not saying its one dimensional, id agree that its obvious there were a myriad of reasons for her feeling that way. But lets say they did have problems working together, shes enough of a professional that shes not going to call him out in front of the world. If she had beef with him than they kept it private. All im saying is, she made it clear creating Telephone was not a good experience and she has never worked with Darkchild again. Put the pieces together. Darkchild is a frequent collaborator with Britney and her team or was at that time anyway. Gaga had not worked with him before, only worked with him on this, and never worked with him again. I wonder if in having to fight to be able to include it on her own album...that Darkchild was maybe stuck with having to work with her or something due to legal reasons? Maybe that was part of what made it stressful? I remember she did this long ass interview with like NME or pitchfork im not sure, but it was lengthy. Written. The guy asked about Britney having the song and Gaga said she was going to tell him all about it and referred to it as if its this juicy story but she said shed only tell him about it off the record. So it wasnt included in the interview.

Sometimes u have to trust others and let them bring new ideas and if u don't like it ask for a second opinion don't change the whole thing just for ur personal preference

She like co-produced Venus. Its not like that song is a trainwreck or anything. Especially not production wise. I think its only drawback, even though I enjoy it, would be the campiness of its lyrics.

But leaving him to do whatever he wants isn't what Gaga is about, she is the boss after all. Is that helpful? Probably not, and she parted ways with lots of people because of "creative differences", but at least she can say that it's her work. She really wants to be involved in every part of the music making I like dancin', and ponies....
