I think the Madonna situation was blown out of proportion

What about the time when she said imitation is the highest form of flattery on her tour. I’m sorry, but Madonna knew what she was doing the whole time. Playing the media to a point where it would cause enough of a stir but also not shading enough so she could backtrack and blame the media. It really annoyed me in that interview for some magazine (can’t remember which one) Madonna basically said the media were to blame for pitting successful women against each other but in my opinion it all came from her. Madonna is a smart lady, she’s been in the business for decades and she knew exactly what she was doing.

Yeah I had watch it before without noticing it so I thought it was surely something she did one night if it wasn't a rumor. I watch paying attention to the backdrops this time and I saw it lol!

Literally none of it is that deep, the mashup on tour was a way of proving her point in a way that literally gives Gaga more money.  Madonna literally asked for Gaga to perform at her tour shortly after, and made it clear that the song was the only beef she had with her. The feud was definitely blown out of proportion

 

She shaded her in at least 3 different interview. After it she did the mashup and eventually added a song about a girl who copy her all the time "but can't be (her)" at the end of the day before to also adds the shady backdrops...Years after she was still shading gaga for the similarities of both songs in an other itw lol...

It was nasty and stirring the pot for buzz.
