Why Is Gaga Not Considered a Good Dancer?

She is a good dancer. She feels and shows the drama or frustration or whatever emotion she feels about the song through her dances. Every move she makes is like magic in her music videos because it all feels like it means something. Gaga doesnt just dance to the beat, she dances from her heart and really is the perfect visual representation of so many of her songs. In the applause video for example she hits all the little accents of the song with some body movement, whether its moving her breasts or covering her eye, its all dance to me and i think she is the best dancer in the music world for that!

It's probably because her choreography is not what people deem to be "sexy" or "hip" lol I feel dumb for even saying that but we know how shallow the GP/Hollywood is - but she's always had obscure choreography to match the music/costumes/etc. that the GP wouldn't 100% dig into as opposed to say Britney or Beyoncé's routines 

 

Think about it, if you did a Gaga routine at the club people would be like wut are you doing but if you did a Beyonce routine you'd blend in because it's more mainstream(?) dancing - or people would at least be like yes queen werk lmao - idk how to put what I'm trying to say into words but hopefully y'all get the point lol

I think Gaga can dance well, and simply chooses not too while live because it's tiring and can ruin her singing. I watched a video recently of her at the BTWB doing MTN Choreo and she looked so horrendous, but I understood cause she was tired lol you can tell that she's decent at least when she does Born This Way or Alejandro live for example and even Judas. Idk, I have no idea. I think she can be good if she wants to as the video on the first page showed

I disagree with the spazzy movements part, i think it goes perfectly with her songs. Lots of her songs have throbbing sounds throughout and by dancing smoothly it wouldnt go with her songs a lot of the time.

Not talking about intentional spazzes. Those are obvious. I'm talking about the ones that are made out of her control because she is an ok dancer. She does not have refined dancing skills. As mentioned before she is good over all and much better than many other pop stars but in general weak choreo and the excessive spazzes ruin it imo. It's also clear that they are not intentional nor a part of her the routine to "match the music" because a lot of the time the spazzing does not go with the music hence why it is so noticeable. Of course we will have to agree to disagree on this one though.

I just can't assess how she can dance IN HIGH HEELS, sing live flawlessly, wear those very uncomfortable (sometimes heavy) wigs and costumes, play a ****ing instrument, all in the same time while being one of the best performers of our times. I wouldn't say she's the best dancer in the industry, but I mean homegirl is multitasking and serving great performances, so why bother
