Maybe. But the difference is that it can be used in MOST of Joanne era outfits. Born this Way delivered look after look. I dont hate the era or the album though, I just think Joanne as a whole could be a little more "exciting". But it gave us one of the best performances ever aka Superbowl so

Because the real LG5 was scrapped.

They hyped us for months with dark-themed, RedOne-produced record and then we got a total opposite of this. 

But I'm still a fan of Joanne and I'm very thankful for this masterpiece.

I love Joanne and it’s stripped down look. I think a lot of Monsters were here for over the top Gaga and when she didn’t deliver that they were bored.

When Gaga has her next era and if it’s exciting and serves looks, Joanne will be appreciated for what it was.

Trust me as soon as LG6 starts the same stans who used to hate Joanne will post "I miss Joanne era", "Underrated Joanne era moments/outfits/songs/lyrics", "Throwback to Joanne era"... But as JazzGa would say, anything goes!

Because they are not true fans.  you can't be a complete fan if you don't catch on of all Gaga's artistic phases. Gaga is full ride and every era is another way of self-expression. In fact, expecting Gaga to be the same as she was in TFM/ BTW is limitative to her potential. I can see why some may not like this era (since I am not too found on most of the songs either), but simply despising an entire album and ignoring that this album was a) a realization of gaga's vision about family an identity b) a clever career move c) a distinctive, classic piece of work in Gaga's discography only because it was a departure from her old material is not something I'd expect from true fans.

this is so accurate  , the way some "monsters" meltdown in twitter because MR outstreamed BR on Spotify  ,  they think that is bad that a current single in the streaming era is outstreaming her  digital age hits .

It’s very simple actually. Gaga is best known for dance-pop music. That is how she started her career and a lot of fans started liking her due to this genre. She has now explored outside of that genre and fans that don’t like that type of music will not like Joanne. 

A lot of fans just want to bop their bussies to *new* Gaga dance music. 

(I, for the record, really like Joanne. But I’m DEFINITELY ready to dance to new Gaga music)

I don't hate Joanne but find it hard to like sometimes, because it's difficult for me to wrap my head around country/western/Americana themes.

That said, I love Joanne (piano version) and the comical orchestrations of John Wayne, Dancing in Circles and A-YO. And when I feel ragey, PI is the best (but probably not appropriate when I'm driving in heavy traffic).
