MANiCURE 6

This is taken off Infected Mushroom's interview with Israeli weekend newspaper "Sheva Leylot" (7 Nights).

(It's about Kink being turned into Burqa/Aura)

____

IM: She (Gaga) came into Zedd's studio, her producer, while he was working on our track", says I-zen. "It was one of its first demos she immediately fell in love with. Zedd called us saying "There's a problem. Lady Gaga wants your song." We had some serious deliberation, we see ourselves as a band with a high artistic integrity and we avoid commercialization and doing cheap things such as Britney or Gaga. But suddenly there's a concrete offer on the table and saying "No" is a mistake, because it's a guaranteed lifelong pension. Each time the song is being played or sold, we get some pretty nice royalties. So we decided to give her the melody, as long as we are signed under our private names. We felt embarrassment for our fans. But she refused, she wanted "Infected Mushroom" to be credited. So, we decided to go for it thinking it won't make the cut or she'll eventually change her mind. Interviewer: But she didn't. Do you like the result?

IM: No. I think it's an artistic compromise. The song is too cheesy and commercialized. The way her vocals are over the melody is bad.

IM: Our collaboration with Gaga will also expose us the an audience that haven't heard of us before. But when this new audience will come to our show expecting to hear similar songs to "Aura", they'll be disappointed.

So yeah stop collaborating with that kind of cocky sHiTtY dudes is a good idea... :fthis:

Or she could just tell her producers to not hype it up and wait until it's released. It's a standard practice in the industry.

You don't hear stuff like this from producers working rihanna's upcoming album, or adele's or beyoncé's, or ed sheeran's etc...  The most they'd say if they were to say anything is that they love it and things like that... I don't know why it has to be different with Gaga.

As I said previously, Gaga has been quiet about LG6 and I like her new approach from Joanne. So my concerns aren't directed at her.

Well, she's taking her time and she hasn't revealed anything about this new project unlike previous albums. If her producers are cocky or not, that's none of our business and we shouldn't get hyped no matter what they say.

Let's just trust her vision and wait until the album comes out.

You see there's nothing wrong with saying a song you wrote is awesome and you love it.

There's a big difference between that and when I described. What I have issues with is cringy stuff like "2018RadioIsOurs" and I "wrote a hit" etc... The words you use make a big difference. You can say very nice things about your work, but calling it a commercial success before it's even released is a bit cocky (as if you expect people to love anything you put out). Work hard, say nice things about it and let its success speak for it.

Did you hear Taylor Swift say she wrote the greatest album of the year or anything like that? When describing 1989 she called it "the album of my career" same with Ed Sheeran.

But Gaga isn’t talking about the quality of a song. She’s saying that it has the makings of a hit. It’s like saying it bops. And her “album of then decade” comment about BTW was not literal. She meant “I made the best album for you. I did this all for you!” Gaga just had a weird way of saying things sometimes, but read the context of her statements. She doesn’t brag *that* much, she just expresses her enthusiasm kind of weirdly

Well I guess she would regret tweeting that now since the GP pretty much took that as the standard while they were waiting for the album. :ohno:

She was joking though, she unironically called Born This Way the "album of the century" before it came out. Before ARTPOP, a fan on Twitter asked her if ARTPOP would be the new album of the century and she said "It'll be the album of the MILLENNIUM." I love our tongue-in-cheek queen.

Born This Way is the album of the century she didn't lie about that. :vegas:

I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

I don't think those names are cocky at all. Djws is just crazy, the rest we're just excited to work with LG.
