Gaga's label being sold

Interscope, Gaga's record label is reportedly being sold.

Interscope, like Republic, Def Jam, Island, etc. is a subsidiary group of Universal Music group, the world's largest record label, and they're supposedly selling 50% of the group. Interscope is apparently part of those 50%. What does this mean for Gaga? Possibly a delay in LG6 as her record label transfers ownership?

Here are a few people on the Interscope label:
The 1975
Cashmere Cat
Daya
Billie Eilish
Selena Gomez
Imagine Dragons
Lana Del Rey
Kendrick Lamar
Madonna
Maroon 5
Zedd

We should buy Interscope Records so we'd literally own Lady Gaga's music catalogue and force her to release ARTPOP ACT II and the 2015 RedOne demos. We'd also be better at promoting her, duh.

Spoiler

Chile, that last part is a joke unless one of you is a Little Millionare.

This won't affect day-to-day operation so there won't be a delay in any artists' contracts or releases. How mergers and conversions go with companies is that there is a cutoff date and the only thing that really happens is that departments merge and there is a date that is a cut off for legally using a company name. The operations continue and contracts might be redrafted to reflect a new company name, but that may not be necessary if they still operate under Interscope's name. Nothing to worry about, just technicalities.

This isnt really a big deal. Big companies are sold all the time. Most of the time nothing even happens not even a name change.
