James Gunn had already apologized for his taboo jokes. He used to be famous for being provocative but has said he has evolved and regretted it. Before this whole thing happened he had already made various public apologies for it. 

This whole story started with the Daily Caller (an alt right newspaper like breitbart) combing through his twitter finding these tweets from 8 years ago. This whole thing was spearheaded by Mike Cernovich ( a conspiracy theory alt right guy) who is a regular promoter of bullshit stories such as pizzagate. He has a history of accusing a bunch of celebrities and high ranking people in the democratic party including the clintons of pedophilia. Thats his whole shtick. He appealed to disney to fire him accusing James Gunn of Pedophila and they did. Here we are now. 

James Gunn isn't a pedophile. Was he a shitty comedian who made wrong jokes? Yes but that doesn't justify them firing him. Disney knew before hand he was controversial, I mean this is the guy that directed Tromeo and Juliet. It makes me angry that these people on the right succeeded in ruining the life of a guy who disagreed with them.

they were thrown back into the spotlight by an alt-righter who doesn't think rape is a thing and thanks to cancelling culture, the guy was fired faster than you could stream Joanne

ohhh that makes sense, I had only heard briefly about it so I was basically on no one's side but I did think he was shitty for those tweets so thanks for clearing that up lol

What even is this??? Just watched the video and all it is is him reading these guys tweets which Gunn had already apologized before. Then he acts as if pictures of them with John Podesta mean anything. That alone is proof enough that whoever made this video believes in crazy such as pizzagate and shouldn't be trusted.

He then misconstrues Patton Oswlats tweets which is in my mind the worst offense. He uses tweets such as:

"Let Nambla members fuck anyone they want. Am I so crazy for wanting my kid to grow up in a safer world"  

as evidence (Nambla is an organization for pedophilia). 

However what he fails to disclose is that this tweet was in fact part of a thread and the full tweet reads:

"You think ANYONE should be able to buy a guy for ANY reason? Well why don't we just Let Nambla members fuck anyone they want. Am I so crazy for wanting my kid to grow up in a safer world"

This is just one of many thread tweets that is being used against these guys. All this video does is read controversial tweets of people James Gunn has been associated with, link them to Pizzagate a crazy conspiracy and then take other peoples tweets out of context. Real investigative journalism here
