They have no rights? Seriously? Talking to you from Spain, the country with the most gypsies in Europe. No that's actually not true. In my country (Italy) they had the right to build their houses practically wherever they wanted and to use the water, electricity etc of the city where they were without paying absolutely nothing. And I could go on for paragrapsh. Sorry but this is the sad truth. I'm absolutely NOT against any minority, but I think that no one should have priviledges over other people. It's a slur and you should feel bad for being so adamant about the use of it. Sad really. Block me if you don't want me to quote you, because this is a forum and I can talk with you publicly if I want actually. Sneaky Oliver 21,437
Yes Ur So Gay is problematic but the point of the song has nothing to do with gays. She's actually talking about this guy who won't have sex with her because he's busy doing other things all the times. And yes the word "gay" kinda sounds offensive in the song but she must have written that 11 or 12 years ago and she has changed since then and she didn't add the song to her last two tours (thanks @Luv u Sum) Off topic: the gypsy topic: I know a lot of real-life gypsies and they're very proud about it and celebrate that. Even though Gaga uses the therm gypsy as "wanderer" not as part of an ethnic group

The song was written when Katy was trying to be Avril Lavigne since Avril was huge that time. And she was dated these indie rock guy. And then broke up. And this song was written to diss him. Likened him to gay folks, since it was so common thing to say back in the day, by this she was saying her ex is such a weak person. And ask him to kill himself for that. The song is not at all clever. It is as obvious as it gets, a rude mockery. Nothing hidden between the lines. It's an unfortunate song that should never be celebrated. It’s literally about a girl whose boyfriend is more feminine than she is... which is humorous within itself. All she does is name all the ways in which he “outdoes” her, cleverly I may add. All this sensitivity over a song is just unnecessary. I’m a fan of any song that can join satire, lyrical rawness, honesty, and catchy sound together. Lily Allen has done it on her first 2 albums, Amy Winehouse as well. You take it so literally as if she personally offended you. Nan You're A Window Shopper is almost genius, and my grandma ain't triggered about that song...

WeDontStop 909
i think she said she meant the word "gay" as in "lame" in an interview, which is still p offensive (to some people) i mean, i use the word "gay" to describe lame things all the time as a gay person, but i can understand why someone might get offended by this song lol i got the boys in dubai
