Aga Gydal 3,158
Yes, I want this. Joanne had a very similar vibe to Beyonce’s 4 and both ladies were in a similar spot in their careers. By that point the audience consensus was that they were very talented women, but the lack of big singles shed some doubt on whether they could reach the highs of their previous work. Remember, the 4 era had people thinking Beyoncé was past her prime. Both albums were soft reboots of sorts - they were both graduating from trying to be pop for the hell of it and just wanted to make material that put their voices first. Gaga’s 2017 was similar to Beyoncé’s 2013 in several ways too. Both performed at the Super Bowl to high acclaim, and both released a high profile documentary. Beyoncé ended that year with Self-Titled, which was a culmination of all that build-up and gave Beyoncé her true second wind. We’re waiting for Gaga’s turn now. Lord Temptation 11,209
Absolutely not. Beyonce’s Selt-Titled was her comeback after 4 failed to capitalise off the global success of I am...Sasha Fierce. Gaga, on the other hand, already had her “comeback” with Joanne and especially the Super Bowl performance. So if we’re using a Beyonce analogy Gaga’s next album “should” be like Lemonade. Except it won’t. We all know Gaga. I mean “us” as in fans. She doesn’t do what’s expected, or what has been done by her contemporaries. Was Born This Way expected after The Fame Monster? Was Cheek to Cheek expected after ARTPOP? Joanne after Cheek to Cheek? No. They weren’t. I think Gaga likes to explore the boundaries of genres instead of just confining herself. So basically all we really can do is simply enjoy the surprises within LG6 and beyond!

Bey is involved in every process of the music that she puts out.

JohnnyVersace 9,089
Yes. It was Bey's most honest and dedicated work to date, and really caught public appeal. Seemed that she was her most authentic when she released that album. It pushed boundaries, served bops, and delivered so much material.

pdaines 209
1) I primarily just want some killer dance beats with a lot of effort put into intricate ear candy + high budget, interesting, beautiful music videos. I.e., what I got used to from all of Gaga's work through ARTPOP. 2) Secondarily -- I want everyone else in the world to respect Gaga, be AWARE of her work, and to love her music and videos. Through ARTPOP, Gaga ALWAYS got the BEST people, she put in a ton of effort, and she basically always produced the BEST music. Her music was just bliss to listen to. I'm all about Gaga putting in a little less effort and taking some me time and dealing with her fibromyalgia in peace. I'm also all about her releasing whatever music she damn well pleases. But when she has effort to put in, if she wants to produce music that will make me happy, I basically just want more danceable ear candy. Just make your music amazing from YOUR perspective, and people will deal.
