It’s not entirely missing as i would say Just Another Day comes pretty close to this, and her Dive Bar performance of that song is irreverent and touching at the same time. Unfortunately the fans seemed to not love the song as much as I do. I would love Gaga to do more of these jazzy piano songs as opposed to the power ballads that she’s keen on doing right now I love Just Another Day, but I'm not sure it's comparable to Future Love. Just Another Day is bright and bubbly but there is nothing tongue-in-cheek about it. The lyrical imagery of Future Love is absurd and silly while her delivery is totally heartfelt. She is screaming about how she wants to reboot her heart and f-f-f-f-uck her rubber hunk.
CannaeDrive 3,412
Back then, I've been listening to Future Love almost excessively, I too would love more performance like this. "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas

But I think the melody of it is very much a throwback to her old jazz and pop roots. It’s nice to see she still has that sound in her because the music’s been very serious the past few years. Tbh the fact that it was the last song she did for Joanne makes me happy to think that the next album could have some jazzy improv and swag about it. Now that she’s healed with Joanne, a detour for her musically and she’s even said that, I am curious to see where her next road stop is
