Gaga's previous work hinting at future work - what clues point towards LG6?

The "dark side of fame" motif of Paparazzi (and it's iconic video) :cryga: bridged the gap between The Fame and its twisted sister TFM :firega: The 80s influences in her first two albums along with her pre-gaga penchant for singing Rock music combined with the EDM styling of The Remix gave us the signature sound of BTW :huntyga:

The heavier EDM explored in Born This Way: The Remix (especially ZEDD's BTW remix and Stache/Princess High thereafter) gave birth to ARTPOP :bye: The country vibes of You & I and Born This Way (The Country Road Version) as well as the Americana and Singer-Songwriter sounds of tracks like Gypsy, Speechless and Brown Eyes (and her earlier work as Stefani Germanotta) led to Joanne :ladyhaha:

So my question is: which pieces of her discography do you expect OR hope influence LG6?

At this point in time I could see LG6 being a slick EDM-Pop record with Indie Pop and Disco influences with some tracks featuring more complex composition. Her previous work that points to this includes...

Spoiler

Fashion! - combines EDM, Pop and Disco elements with a more complex piano arrangement

The Cure - slick minimal EDM-Pop w/ Indie Pop influences

Select The Fame, BTW and ARTPOP Remixes - every era has featured remixes by Indie Pop groups including Passion Pit, The Sound of Arrows, Foster the People, Two Door Cinema Club, St. Lucia  etc.

Disco Heaven - obviously this track is cheesy as hell but those are her disco roots, baby!

I Want Your Love - this track shows how she could do a disco sound in a more modern/refined/minimal way.

Bloody Mary - this track is honestly still so cool to me. Literally Gothic Disco. Would love LG6 to have some of that.

DWUW - slick EDM-Pop elements with some Indie Pop thrown in (esp on the bridge). very clean and minimal

And as far as "featuring more complex composition" I remember her talking about how she wrote some original jazz songs for Cheek to Cheek (ultimately scrapped) and she was recently seen conducting an orchestra so the birth of ComposerGa seems imminent :laughga:

(This overall sound would would also make sense if BloodPop and SOPHIE do end up working on the album but I don't actually expect LG6 to sound exactly like this because it'd probably be too similar to ARTPOP.)

Spoiler

lbh even if this is what LG6 sounds like now we all know Gaga could change her mind and scrap it at any given second :messga:

But that's just one possibility and we all know Gaga is unpredictable. So PLEASE let me know what you think the roots of LG6 could be. We can all look back at our theories when LG6 does finally come out and laugh at how wrong we were :toofunny:

Spoiler

I've had the idea for this thread forever but it took me a hot second to put into words and I'm half awake right now so I hope it all make sense :selena:

DWUW definitely had the slick EDM-Pop elements with some Indie Pop thrown in (esp on the bridge). I should probably add it to my list :hor:

The Indian influences on Dancing In Circles will lead to her first starring role in a Bollywood movie

REALITY

I’m expecting this album to be much more commercially viable than Joanne, that said, with Gaga you can never be too sure with what to expect.

Genre-wise, I think that it’s going to be heavily centered around electronic/dance pop and EDM, and with (hopefully) some disco and funk elements scattered throughout.

I think this album overall will sound most like ARTPOP, though no two Gaga albums completely sound the same so we will just have to see what she releases next!

I don't know why, just a feeling, but whenever I listen to Grimes I am thinking: LG6 is going in this direction. Dreampop.

My thoughts exactly.

Just watch LG6 be an experimental Jazz Funk album :cryga:

Yeah that would fit with a lot of the remixes we've seen which are clearly influential to her. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's already reached out to Grimes

I just finished listening to Love At First Sight by Kylie Minogue and Sorry by Madonna. Both songs are disco. I hope Gaga next album sounds like that. Because I tried finding a song by Gaga that sounded like any of those two and the only one I can think of is not even original. I Want Your Love. I’m just mad it’s seems like she’s going for that EDM route again. She must love that genre.

if Joanne was a funky disco album that would have worked even better with the flow because I Want Your Love would have been the between albums transition + working with Mark Ronson some people were expecting something really funky

I don't know for LG6, first I was thinking she'd make similar songs to ASIB but it would make more sense for her to make the opposite so maybe things closer to DIC and experimental stuff
