1. MTN is a bad single, bad opener and overrated, toast me bitches but this is the truth! a worst choice! she had to choose Hooker In A Church Bunker.

2. The scream in Shy-Sa is cringy..................

3. "baby we were born this waaaaay" in HML is cringy too and it feels like she didn't know what to write there so she added this...

I laughed but the tea is there

Hair is a terrible song and RedOne’s worst production. It is so incredibly generic. However, her vocals on it are absolutely outstanding.

HWURTL sounds like Pokerface and when you listen for it you can’t unhear it.

GH has aged the worst and she ruined Yoü and I with that production. It sticks out like such a sore thumb.

HML is proof that she works best when she does things on a tight deadline.

The album is so large that at points she starts running around the same melodies again. Idk if that was intentional or not but FOHL’s bridge is the same as BTW’s chorus.

MTN may sound like it was recorded in a tin can but that audio texture gives needed grit to the song and elevates it imo where ARTPOP could have used less sterilization.

Americano is great all around, especially its production but works better as a slow cabaret than upbeat dance song.

BJAF is a vogueing anthem and far and away the best bonus track.

TQ has some cute lyrics but is ultimately only so so until the bridge to ending solo and stunts the momentum to TEOG.

TEOG is without a doubt the best song overall on the album (even if not my favorite) and why they sat on that being a single is beyond me when it would’ve worked so well after BTW.

BM is essentially a metal song made dance electropop and if you know metal you’ll hear it. I wish she’d try this a little more because it’s absolutely her in her element in terms of theatricality.

For me BTW has the worst mixing of all Gaga albums. I feel like they rushed things here. A lot of the songs feel too loud and cacophonic to me (especially MTN and Garibay-esque songs). I wish Gaga's vocals were clearer and shone through the industrial instrumental.

I hate The Queen's intro but I love the aong itself, especially the outro

Judas should have never been a single

Scheisse is not THAT good as monsters say, still a bop. I think Black Jesus is way better

Standard cover is one of Gaga's biggest mistakes

... and now i just sit in silence.

Heavy Metal Lover is my favourite song but, honestly, not single worthly at all.

Born This Way (The Country Road Version) is one of my favorites :vegas:

I wish she performed it during the Joanne Era or in future performances

I think it was entirely intentional, though. It’s supposed to loud, brash, and harsh. I get why you don’t like it, but I think if they really were going for that sound they succeeded very well in their intention (especially with MTN, though that one sounds as it does because of the very rough vocal equipment used to record her vocal tracks which, again, may have been intentional as she wanted it to give the energy of TMB). I think it was actually quite methodical but definitely not made to sound “pretty” which, again, I totally get if you don’t like it since it can be very harsh.

There are only 2 songs worthy of being a single on the entire album and Electric Chapel should have had an awards show performance but she can't sing it live.

The album as a whole works but piece by piece out of context is quite a mess.

BTW is not Gaga’s best work. But its message it’s very important. So I understand why fans feel so attached to it.

To me, it's the total opposite.

I love the melodies, the musical style, the vocals, the production, the visuals... But I can't relate to the lyrics. It's a great message for the World, but not for me.

OT: Bad Kids >>>> Born This Way

Bad Kids is an amazing track and I actually wanted it as a single at the time.

I think the melodies referencing eachother is intentional.

Hair & TEOG

TEOG & MTN

JUDAS & Scheiße

The queen & TEOG

Btw & FOHL

It's actually genius.

Anyone that praises The Queen deserves all my respect :worship2:

The album is almost flawless but I just don't like how Americano leads to Hair that leads to Scheiße. I mean the three songs together sound confusing to me but other than that SLAAAAYYY

Oh my, to me Hair followed by Scheiße followed by Bloody Mary is the best concatenation from Gaga's discography

Even with all the dark image and style It's her lightest album

For me the lyrics are the most joyful and happy than in any other albums

THIS! (Also, The Fame I would say)

In the same way, ARTPOP is Gaga's darkest album.
