Oh my goodness, this is possibly tied with Ceremonials for my favorite Florence album. It is so stunning and deep and well written and emotive. I have chills and tears and all of that ****.

I love it  it's very dreamy and yet so dramatic

The thing I love the most about this album is the lyrics, such solid poetry and Flo's voice giving it deeper meaning ugh her mind

... and now i just sit in silence.

Where are you people getting working safe links for this? My usual places are all flopping right now. :emma:

June, No Choir, Grace, South London Forever, Big God, Hunger, Sky Full of Song, and Patricia are all beautiful. I think my two favorites are No Choir and Grace. My heart is so full.

Ok, so I've just listened to the whole album and I can say that it's definitely a great album. I don't mind that it's short, I think it's just very precise and clear with what it wants to do with each song. As I've said before, it's different from the usual Florence record while at the same time being true to herself. It's Flo, but it's not... it's hard to explain, but in general it's less chaotic than their previous albums (I mean chaotic in a good way), more quiet, more simplistic and minimalistic, which is not a bad thing, but if you're waiting for another Cosmic Love, What Kind Of Man or Spectrum, this album is not for you. Some songs are built around one simple riff with minimal instrumentation. Lyrically, I think this is one of their best works, they sound like poetry. It might not be as easily accessible than their other albums, but that makes me want to listen to the album all over again to understand the songs better.

Top songs after 1st listen: Hunger & The End Of Love

Too soon for including HaH in an overall rank of all their albums. I have to listen to it a few more times to do that.

Hey! Since I decided not to listen to the album until like mid of july for personal reasons, I was wondering if you can just give me some infos cuz I'm already dying to hear it and it still isn't out yet in my country

So, are there more songs like Hunger? Like, more musically complex songs (unlike 100 years, for example). I already imagined there wouldn't be such songs as CL, WKOM etc but I was wondering if all the songs were minimalistic as 100 years.

I mean, I abosolutely LOVE 100 years but I also love typical "old" Florence, ala Dog Days Are Over or the more recent Hunger. Thanks!

The End of Love is gorgeous! Probably the best song alongside Hunger

I think I read or watched somewhere that she initially wanted to name this album "The End of Love" but decided to go for a more positive approach and titled it "High As Hope".

To me, there aren't many songs with that are as upbeat and melodic as Hunger. The album version of 100 years is more upbeat and less minimalistic than the live version. Typically "old" Florence songs imo are: Hunger, 100 Years, Patricia actually.

This album floored me, I'm slain, deceased, wigless, etc

10/10, a masterpiece. Not a single moment I didn't like on this record.

I've read that Patricia is the Delilah of the album, what do you think?

If it's only half as good as Delilah I'll have to glue my wig pretty damn well

I still haven't heard it cos im in Ireland but i think im really going to like this :excited2:but no where near Lungs and Ceremonials

Those are intouchable:pray:

Looks like ill have to wait another 10 years to see if i can get a CL/Blinding/NLNL/OIFAN/WKOM/STW 2.0 :huntyga:

Like i stan Florence for the big anthems,i already got my fill of quiet songs from Lana :lana:

But SFOS was amazing too.

If 100 years and Patricia really are QOP and Delilah 2.0 i will cry with happiness :emma:

There is no QOP on this album :emma:

Patricia is similar to Delilah in some ways though I guess.
