Was PI Really A Flop?

Debuts really aren’t a huge factor in terms of a song flopping or not. It really has to do with 1) longevity on the charts and 2) the song’s peak during its tenure.

While #15 isn’t a bad number per say, it had virtually no longevity on the charts at all. Therefore, it flopped

Some fans always find excuses to avoid saying she flops sometimes... I mean let's be honest at least ^^

All artists have flops and hits. Gaga had and will have other flops and big hits... It's not an issue to me :)

The one argument u try to use to prove is wasn't a flop is to compare its debut week to non-lead singles (which start lower and climb late) or the lead single Just Dance when she wasn't famous

If ur comparing apples and oranges like that to try to rationalize PIs performance... That should tell you all you need to know :emma:

I maybe heard it twice in the first week then it vanished.

Uhhh do you know how charts work? Debuts mean nothing if the song eventually has peaks much higher on the Hot 100. So yes PI was her 2nd biggest flop behind G.U.Y.

Third :messga:

It goes - Joanne < GUY < PI

Joanne was her only single that didn't chart :vegas:

Can we really consider this as a single ? ^^

I'm not sure they sent it to radios

Joanne had no radio release outside of Italy. It was not a single and especially not in the United States where her label didnt send it anywhere. What makes a song a single is the push on radio.

I hate the word “flop” but yeah it did that. :vegas:

Not for me personally though. I think its a banger and one of my favorites.

Yes... I think if it was the 2º or the 3º single it would have performed better.. and Joanne(the album) too..
