Yeah it's confusing, she says she suffers since then, but she also says she suffered before...

Did your fibro wake up instantly after your trauma? Because my doctor has told me that it needed time to grow (which happened to me also)

My fibro progressively got worse as time went on. I injured myself nearly 4 years ago now and new symptoms appeared as time passed. I remember it was first a lot of joint pain, then muscle spasms in my back, eventually to the point where I'm at now where I can't get out of bed most days to do what I have to do.

cool

Yeah but the hip was in 2013, and she said she had global pain in 2012... I have no idea what it means actually, it's over-confusing, does Gaga even know how it all started?

the pain could have started in late 2012 and carried over until she reached breaking point and triggering fibro

Well the thing is that she was on tour. She was dancing and singing hard for two and a half hours a night. Your body is going to be so sore and tired from that that she attributed it to just being sore from the show. That being said, being hit in the head wasn't hard enough to trigger anything except a concussion. There wasn't any major trauma to cause her fibro.

The trauma was either her hip injury or her body being overall worn down from the tour. Also, after getting the fibro diagnosis she could be thinking pain from the tour was caused by fibro.

That confirms what I though, and that's also what I lived (for me I first got very tired, and the pain came after, but you know what I mean, it was progressive)

So it's very unlikely that her hip triggered her fibro, since she broke her hip in December/January, from what she said she was already in pain at that time

I don't know if you'll understand what I wrote :laughga:

A concussion is hard enough for that, especially if you add the stress of the fame and everything...

I also wonder if it could be her assault... I'm mean... she started talking about it in her next record (ARTPOP)...

Her fibro could have easily taken years to get strong enough to be painful

I think the hip surgery was 'cause she broke her hip (I don't know if it was a fissure in the bones or a ligament, I don't have idea, tbh :S She overworked and danced many years with that high-heels and her hip broke :emma:), but after that the fibromyalgia came. Maybe, the PTSD, the depression, the anxiety during ARTPOP Era and the fact that she had to cancell the BTWBall made those mental issues reflect in her body in a physical way and all this have been increased with the time :oprah:

She must be in so much pain I wish her the best :(

Edit: I just realised one more thing: Gaga recovered of the hip surgery between March-July (5 months, I don't remember exactly) meanwhile she was still working on ARTPOP and that was bad for her health too, right? :saladga:

I think the global pain before the actual hip breakage was still centered around her hip injury. She was overexerting herself and slowly damaging herself until the breaking point, as she mentioned in her 2013 Howard Stern interview, I think.

My guess is that the fibromyalgia flared afterward, as a psychosomatic effect of both her physical and mental/emotional traumas, all cumulative.

3 points in and ready for more

YES, absolutely bad

But your comment is the best so far, I didn't think about that at all: what if the hip SURGERY caused her fibro ??

Edit: If she suffered BEFORE breaking her hip, that's unlikely, BUT we never know. Or maybe she started to feel a global pain because her brain couldn't deal with her hip, and then the surgery could've been what "officially" gave birth to her fibro..?

this seems like a question even doctors cant figure out lol. If it's genetic, it could have just come on around the same time as her hip injury.

True. But I'm not sure they even tried. Gaga probably did though

I mean obviously it was the fact she walked around with a hip tear while on drugs to lighten/hide the pain. The fact she only got surgery weeks (?!) after probably cause her fibro cause her hip was just too worn out

Buy ARTPOP on itunes or smth?

Yes, I think that is what happened to me too. Who knew trauma like this could go on to manifest in to such an illness like Fibro, a condition most people know very little about even doctors here in the UK, very few specialist clinics and the waiting lists are so long especially for panic clinics too.

Holding out hope for Pregablin (nerve pain) & trigger point injections (steroid or botox).

You could be right

Fibromyalgia isn't psychosomatic though
