I won't defend her, but she should have kept it to herself. Today's society is very sensitive and any comment on social media will be used against the person who posted it.

eww you're celebrating the fact that she is receiving backlash for an abusive prank by being abusive to her about her wheight. Way to go! Stop the bodyshaming already

People don't care when Harvey Weinstein was called 'ugly' or 'horrible' so we have every right to say what we want about a sexual attacker

It was recently revealed that Demi Lovato sexually assaulted a man, she tweeted about it.

It doesn't appear on any news sites whereas Donald Trump's groping story made headlines. Why aren't we talking about it?

By the way, I understand there's already been a thread about this but I want to understand why people don't think it's important (in general, not specifically on GGD)

Because she isn't Selena Gomez. Selena recently gets a lot of hate for almost nothing, but Demi didn't get that much backlash.

Sooooooo technically it wasn't Demi who sexually assaulted her bodyguard, Max (if this is what you're referring to). She hired a woman to go into his hotel room. From what I read, Demi didn't know the woman was going to do what she did.

-she's not president

-she didn't do it directly or instruct the person to do anything non-consensual at all.

-it's the 7th biggest topic this week. we talked about it.

cus demi herself didn't do it and the guy himself didn't think of it as an assault

demi just had to say sorry for the prank and understand why it was wrong

You want me to be straight up honest? She’s a woman. And there’s a double standard. Idc what nobody has to say. If a man tweeted what she did, he’d be cancelled by now.

I’m actually nice.

Nice try, but if the guy doesnt think it was sexual assault and demi didnt do any sexual assaulting then its moot.
