Well at the time of C2C they said they had already record (some) songs for C3C.

So maybe (most of) the album is / was done and they just filmed studio-time for a music video or two. Who knows

Gaga didn't recorded Cheek to Cheek all at once. They had few sessions in June/July 2013 and the rest they did in June 2014. 

So they might have done some sessions before and now they were finalizing it.

Same way, I guess all the visuals for anything that is coming up are done filming.

Wait, how are pictures of musical instruments indicating that Tony and Gaga were filming? It's not like we see them in the pictures.
