we like to compare TGS a lot to ASIB, but we also have to take into consideration that TGS didn't have a fanbase when it debuted and that's one of the reasons why it debuted at #3 on Billboard 200.

Gaga has a large fanbase, I'm sure the soundtrack will debut with more than 140k sales.

Who knows where it will rank overall, but I will say it is definitely shaping up to be an extension and perfection of some of the things she was trying to do on Joanne (and I say that as a Joanne stan), which is exciting to see.

we already had a huge fight like two months ago about what's gaga best album, I don't want to go through the same thing over again respect BTW and TFM

omg i forgot that ASIB will be folk/country/pop  maybe it'll replace Joanne as my favorite album I don't want that to happen

My only "complaint," if you can call it that, with Joanne is that, as a whole work of art, it seemed a bit hesitant to commit to anything and therefore is not very cohesive. I like all of the individual songs, but stylistically it's kind of scattered. Kinda wish she had committed to incorporating country/folk/acoustic elements across the board.

ASIB has the benefit of serving the film, and that context can explain away the inclusion of both folk/country and polished pop. But even from what I have heard of the more country/singer-songwritery type songs, they are like a more confident, perfected version of Million Reasons or Joanne, and it feels sooooo good to finally see her nail that style.

we have to always remember that Gaga is a mainstream artist, I'm sure some people will say the same thing about LG6 cause apparently, the album will have ''PC'' influences but I get your point, Gaga promoted the album as a country/folk album when in reality is a pop album.

I just hope ASIB has good lyrics like sinner's prayers
