Fontes exclusivas revelam que a produção do festival vem negociando a vinda de Coldplay – banda britânica de grande sucesso – e de Lady Gaga, que era parte do line-up da última edição do festival em terras cariocas, mas cancelou sua participação à poucos dias da apresentação no Palco Mundo. Na época, Lady Gaga alegou que estava sofrendo com fortes dores pelo corpo, devido a uma fibromialgia. Corre por debaixo dos panos que Gaga deixou acertada sua participação no Rock in Rio de 2019, como forma de reparação pelo cancelamento do ano passado.

Já o Coldplay segue com negociações avançadas com a produção do festival. Ao que tudo indica, eles devem ser um dos primeiros nomes confirmados na próxima edição, ao lado da musa Anitta, primeira atração oficial de 2019.

Exclusive sources reveal that the production of the festival has been negotiating the arrival of Coldplay - a British band with great success - and Lady Gaga, who was part of the line-up of the last edition of the festival in Rio lands, but canceled its participation within a few days of presentation on the World Stage. At the time, Lady Gaga claimed that she was suffering from severe body aches due to fibromyalgia.
