Sorry for taking so long to answer. I wasn't around for the last couple of days.

He basically said she's been in talks to perform again since the past cancellation + she is coming to Brazil to promote ASIB and officially announce that she will be a headliner in 2019

Even though I agree with you, my point of view is that I don't want LG6 out this year cause it would lower her chances to be taken seriously as an actress, so no Oscar credibility.

The main problem (besides her actual acting which is the thing obviously) is that the Academy might feel like she is just a singer who is trying to get recognition without fulling committing to acting. And you can bet your *ss that releasing music right after the soundtrack (Nov-Dec) will make experts and even the GP move in that direction. The movie would be overshadowed and RIP to Oscars buzz etc.

If she wants to slay this awards season and build her actress status on a Oscar level, besides how good her acting is going to turn out, she has to be on full actress mode promoting the movie and deliver a killer soundtrack, which imo is already secured. Releasing a pop-edm album this fall would be tragic for her acting (not that the album itself wouldn't be doing good, following the hype of the film).

Well yeah maybe it over hyped the fanbase. But she could say at least SOMETHING without revealing too much. I wonder if she knows how desperate we are for new music

Of course she knows. The neverending spamming eveywhere is unavoidable tbh. 

I get where you’re coming from but I personally  am fine with what’s going on right now. We know ASIB is very close, LG6 is being worked on, I can live without any further info.

I'm pretty sure the soundtrack songs will be different then in the movie since they sang it live while recording the movie and I think they would have had to record it a second time in a studio

They most definitely did record them but it was done long time ago. It’s impossible to have an album from such a big project being worked on like 2.5 months before release date. It’s a different story with her albums but this is a Warner Bros movie, a couple of big companies are attached to it, they most definitely agreed on dates and stuff like this thus reworking them so close to the release date seems kinda questionable.

I hope whatever she releases is successful. Imagine having a good movie but at the same time headlines like "Lady Gaga s new song flops". Not that it will hurt her Oscars chances but... 

she kinda has been sharing the creative process though

we know when and where she's recording and what she's wearing/who she's with, she'll do a tonne of interviews about the album as usual and even Joanne got a decent amount of BTS stuff

it's just much better to have all of that after otherwise every album era will have it's own "TEA" and "original LG5" that fans STILL won't give up on cus they assume it's amazing music
