And yes, it's pretty common for western movies to get released late there. I think Frozen was released four months after it was released in the USA.

It's a marketing tactic that is used in Japan to minimize box office bombs, when the trailers are on TV as ads they usually get sold with statements like "Success abroad!" or "#1 in the USA"

Apparently it's one of the most effective ways to ensure Japanese people will go to the theaters, which makes sense since movie tickets in Japan are so expensive (usually 20 U.S. dollars) and no one would really want to spend that much money to go see a movie they have no idea would be worth it or not.  However, repeatedly seeing catch phrases such as “World-wide box office hit!” would naturally make them think, “Well if it’s good enough for the world, it must be worth seeing”.  Smart application of psychology right there.

Do they use Gaga's name in the poster? If yes, her name alone should be enough to sell this movie tbh. The Xmas release date was also very smart on their part

There's Gaga and Bradley's face in the poster, also it's just a 7 week difference, which is not a lot compared to the almost half a year difference between the Frozen release dates. I think Warner might be pretty confident that both Bradley and Gaga are able to sell this.

Probably not. We'll know more when we find out when and where the local premiere dates will be. Usually actors do one day of interviews where they sit in a room and international journalists just pop in and out. This is usually for international promo, they invite journalists from the globe for attendance and an interview.

But let's say there's like an official premiere in LA, London and Berlin, Gaga might attend all three and give interviews to the press there with the same set up that I just described.

i have to admit that i was never hyped for ASIB. i thought that it will flop

but with this trailer and all the hype , everyone from the Gp (comments on YT,F and etc.) to TV hosts,news, and film experts are praising this so much.i would never imagine this. I am so excited!

the only bad comments are from ATRL,madodinosaurnation and exhale (britney's fans)
