Can Gaga really return to „the old Gaga“ ?

I think her next look will be similar to the NYC looks, like elegant but still a bit over the top and gaga. But i honestly think that she cluld totaly pull of another crazy era, she literally pulled off a frickin jazz album and stayed relevant and loved. Will she do it? Probably not to the extent of a meat dress 2.0 but i think the media would be here for a comeback of gaga shocking the world. But hey, whatever she does will be amazing im sure of it

I mean, your thread heavily relies on the notion that what other people think of Gaga is important  

You're worrying about whether people would find it believable now that Gaga has shown a different side if she did electro-pop and for me personally, that doesn't matter. I don't care what the GeePee or anybody else really has to say about Gaga, it's not really changing my perception of her as an artist?

I never said I am not open for new stuff. Joanne is my favorite album together with  ARTPOP.

1. I think almost nobody got my point. I am not saying she can’t be Gaga anymore. I am sure she can shock us again and serve us looks (for example the NY once). I am just saying that she probably can’t come back to a Meat Dress 2.0 and coming to the Grammy Red Carpet in an Egg 2.0. People will not buy that anymore. As I said in another thread, I spoke with my non-Gaga Fan Friends about that. They ALL said that they would feel strange is she does EXTREME Gaga stuff again.

2. Many of you think that’s my personal opinion too. NO! I would love Extreme Gaga stuff again. And I know that it’s pet of her personality and that it’s not strange

3. Two, or three people on here say that I should let do Gaga what she wants. Did I say the opposite? This thread should be here to discuss not to give Gaga advice. She’s a grown woman with a management and an opinion and I am aware of that so please stop with those comments.

Nope, It’s a discussion if she could come back to the „Gaga“ she was before. Just a random question. also just look what I just wrote above this post in point 3.

+You didn’t follow a lot of threads and comments I made. Cause that’s exactly how I feel too. And It makes me sad that people think such sh*t of me cause that’s exactly the part of the fanbase I hate. The part telling Gaga what’s better for her and the part caring about the GP‘s opinion. I don't think we'll see any 'old Gaga', I don't see her returning to her old very crazy persona a la TFM / BTW like I don't see her returning to the stripped back Gaga à la Joanne.

I could see her creating new and fresh visuals, styles, sounds (maybe with some little throwbacks, but not that much)

Actually it's not that hard that she goes back to Gaga which is her true artistic self. First because Joanne wasn't that big that people didn't totally associate Gaga with. The album sold 2.2M including streaming half that in the US and the other half is all around the world sales. Also some people and critics saw Joanne as a desperate attempt and Fake and wanted the old real Gaga back so there will always gonna be critism whether she's Gaga or Joanne. Also she seems so energetic and vibrant nowadays that doesn't seem like an enregy for a Jazz or Country album.

The critics were wrong though. Joanne is a great album.

By now I really think she just builds a character from the personality traits she's experiencing when writing the album and shares it with the world.

I didn't really understand this before, trying to come up with an explanation to who she really feels like, but if you learn about many of the people we consider to be geniuses, they all have in common the fact that they are ever-changing. They're not afraid/ashamed of change and that too makes it difficult for them to be accepted. I guess it was only a coincidence that Gaga was feeling like that during TF and TFM. On a side note, I've heard her talking about the idea of an artist being a person that expresses himself (or herself) through art and, while I don't share that opinion, I really think she lives with that in mind, so you can see pretty clearly how her emotional state relates to her work. Let's not forget she even has a tattoo intimately connected to her identity as an artist. She has worked on it a lot and we've come to know her as a person with really strong ideas and conceptions of things the majority of people treat as a given. She's a free thinker and was 10 years ago too.
