What do you meant exactly? If she truly wants to be an experimental artist in the shape of David Bowie she cant return to the "Old Gaga"

I bet she can. But don’t know how the GP would react. I know for sure many people I know in privat (non Gaga Stan’s) wouldn’t believe her „Gaga from the past“ if she brings it back. As I said I really HOPE I am wrong and in the end it’s Gaga, she will suprise us all the time. And that’s why I love her so much!

I think that in terms of looks, no, she won't be "the old Gaga" anymore. But I'm kinda happy for that, some looks were way too much costumy, I prefer her avant garde/ fashionista/sophisticated side.

I prefer a Vma's Mcqueen Gaga rather than a

The GP can be so hypocritical sometimes honestly, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. First they say she's "too weird or eccentric," then when Cheek to Cheek and Joanne come out, they say "Where's the 'crazy Lady Gaga' we knew and loved?!"

Can she return to "the old Gaga?" Absolutely. It's not like that side of her was fake and/or vanished. She's shown to us that she can still be over-the-top and eccentric like she used to be (i.e. Coachella, Super Bowl, JWT, etc.). It's really just a matter of what she wants to do, really.

I also don't think the GP would think she's "faking it." They'd probably embrace it more since now they've seen a more candid side of Gaga. Plus, it was songs like "Just Dance," "Poker Face," and "Bad Romance," which were all eclectic in their own way that made her popular in the first place.

This, this AND this ^

Lady Gaga is the most versatile artist I know of. She can literally pull off anything and never flop. Her last three albums were all #1s and sold millions of copies and are all platinum certified at the very least. It's not something any artist can pull off. Her world tours have proven to be successful and she's just beginning to sell out US stadiums.

I think she can be elegant and eccentric whenever she loves to and the GP would still be here for it.

She also proved to us via the Superbowl and Coachella and Joanne World Tour that she can still perform her old hits in the Gaga way that we reminisce. She toned down a bit with her outfits but her performance skills improved signifcantly.

There are some points you have made.

Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

When you say the “old Gaga”, the fact is,  she’s never going to be that again. She’s always evolving organically into new expressions of her artistry with each new era. It’ll continue to be that way.

I think a lot of us fans try to compare each era to her first, because that’s the era we were introduced to her in all her outrageous glory, so it makes sense that we want to experience that “version” of her again, but it’s just not realistic - it’s nostalgia. We should embrace, accept and respect the art she’s inspired to make at any given time.

That said, I wouldn’t worry about her reverting to some weird caricature of herself from the past - she’s just not that kind of artist. She’s incredibly special. We’re so lucky to have such a talented woman who also happens to be an awesome role model in how to be a kind, loving human being. Much love ❤️- good night. 😴💤

I think it's time to move on from that idea. Gaga has a little bit of the "old Gaga" of every era in her now as she continues to progress through her career. Go forward with Gaga, instead of wishing she would go back. You miss so much in pining away for something that isn't currently happening.

It'll be her referencing her past in a new way for whatever project it will be. I don't think she'll be FameGa or MonsterGa. She has said during the ARTPOP era that she doesn't like us calling it "eras" rather it should be cycles. Like a circle.

Hope that makes sense? I typed it out but then it doesn't make sense to me lmao.
What I'm saying is she learned from her old self and that gives birth to the new self to the new project.

(sidenote: I honestly just treat her like a rapper now. Most have long lasting fans but they don't top the charts. The prerequisite for a pop star to be a chart topper is like almost obsolete now. I remember we used to call it Dollar Menu #1's. It's a hit but without much artistic thought put into it.)

[In a way though, she did become Bowie-esque because of his singles weren't chart toppers but they influence society by affecting the listener's emotional reactions]

Okay. I wrote a damn essay. IDK HONESTLY KNOW I JUST WANT MUSIC.

It depends on how "Old Gaga" is defined. I personally see it as a continuous, constant charm and passion that makes her "Gaga", that has always existed per album. It's just presented differently each and every time.

3 points in and ready for more

Honestly I think she just wants to evolve as an artist, and that's how things should go imo

I don't think so. For example when she just wore her baggy print leopard outfit some ppl were mentioning how inauthentic that type of outfit looks on her now a days and that it felt more like a "costume" now where as before Gaga wearing something like that would look more like an "outfit".

Personally I never want Gaga to look back when making fashion or musical choices. I want her to keep moving forward. Maybe she can look back on past looks and music just as reference pieces to use what worked and to not make the same mistakes (as we all do with any decision or w/e we do in the real world). Just yeah...keep moving forward is what I'd want her to continue to do personally.
