Can Gaga really afford to make another non-pop album?

Actually she's a global act not only western she's known here every where in the Middle East she's just not as successful or waiting to rise again just like her current state WW. And I think you're right about BTW burning ARTPOP a bit but the music itself was let's say not on the level of her previous efforts ... at all. That's why it's time for her to go big again and for fans wanting her to experiment more... she already experimented a lot with different genres for Jazz to EDM to the folky country rockish influenced Joanne. It's time now for her to do what she's best at and let's be real it's POP music.

Tbh I think she does glam rock best, but I see your point lol and I meant beyonce as a global touring force. Sure, she’s known all around but there’s a reason she doesn’t tour the world over.

Tbh I think ARTPOP is an interesting case study in over-editing. Lots and lots of AMAZING ideas that got edited down to the point where they weren’t as appealing as they could have been. The productions on it are largely stellar. Gaga has never had an issue of poor production (which is why I find it funny people get nervous or upset about her working with any producer; the production is always top-notch.) The problem that ARTPOP had was the over-editing. Idk if it was her or the label or Troy but someone neutered the EDM on it from hitting harder even when it was still pretty grand. Honestly, the only major fault I can point to with ARTPOP are the melodies which sometimes lack and the lyrics which also do. And also that that album had SO much jammed into it sonically. I mean you go from dubstep-inflected EDM with Aura to psych-rock-glam disco pop with Venus then to electropop on GUY. I mean, ****, it was really just lacking cohesion and I think that was its problem, not the ambitiousness of Gaga (and for the record, I love ARTPOP; but I have eclectic musical tastes so the jumping around works for me).

people every pre-era say the album is her hit or miss chance and it never seems to be a problem lol

The lack of a hit during the Joanne era was a problem, no? :vegas:

I said "hit", not a "local hit" :vegas:

It's a fact that the Joanne era had no real hit and that's no being deal and not hard to deal with :vegas:

I don't see how Joanne was a non-pop album. Sure it had some country vibes to it but if someone releases an album which isn't dance music, it doesn't necessarily mean it's not pop. Joanne was more personal, true, but still a pop album through and through. It just wasn't mediocre pop made to suit the radios.

I don't know what's with the experimental art BS . We want POP music which is real good and makes us and the GP happy and satisfied. BTW and TFM are her best work ever and she was not experimenting with godessess of love or pink hats sh*t.

how is joanne art bullshit but tfm or born this way not? i think those two are the most artsy pop can get, it is the reason she was so phenomenal because pop back then was bland and generic, later people got accustomed to weird pop so it was actually a smart refreshing move of her to go a more "mild" route with Joanne

and as someone else already said..speak for yourself, personally i noticed the general public doesn't give a fu** about pop anymore, because everything is so oversaturated

true they were her best work, but she was definetly experimenting with Goddess Of Darkness and Weirdness, basically more extreme

That I agree on but I really missed her Pop eras and her being on top :cryga:

Where did I said Joanne is bad or BS ? ARTPOP is but not Joanne. I just said she took her self a bit serious with Joanne and acted much older but it was a beautiful era and a nice healing process. ARTPOP is what I mostly meant with the experimental mess. And I was talking about the sound of music not the image. She was experimenting incredible artistic persons and giving incredible performances during BTW and TFM but it was mainly pop derived . I never said Art of Darkness is bad it's actually Gaga at higher peak than anything ever.

I was talking production-wise.

But what you said is still kinda incorrect. No need to act like Gaga has had a stadium tour or smth, she has had like 15-20 stadium dates throughout her whole career :huntyga: And I'm not sure how easily she can sell out in Europe. Especially after the cancellation this year.

If anything her health is the only reason that could stop her from touring worldwide, otherwise she's perfectly fine commericial-wise.

Katy is touring in almost all continents in the world with an album that is widely considered an underperformance, or a 'flop', with an album like Joanne, she could have easily done what Katy is doing, touring in multiple continents other than North America and Europe. If Katy can tour worldwide with a flop album, imagine what Gaga could do with a successful album, and Gaga's box office performance is better than Katy's.

She even sold out stadiums during ARTPOP, and began to sell out stadiums in the USA for the first time with Joanne, I'm not saying she's gonna have a stadium tour with the next era, but a combination of stadium and arena dates like Joanne World Tour is not gonna be a problem, except this time there will be more stadium dates than before.

And I was referring to her ability to tour worldwide.

Even though I liked Joanne, I would much rather have stuff like TFM. If Gaga does something experimental again I’ll still love her though. She can honestly “afford” to do whatever she wants as far as money goes
