Has Gaga's voice dramatically change from her early years?

I happened upon this song, and the first thing I noticed is how different her voice sounds. Especially in the chorus it sounds "raspy" in a very good way, that makes you wanna listen to it over and over again. Gaga's voice is still good today. But I don't think she can record songs like this one and Paparazzi again. Why? What happened? Do you think it's because of smoking?

I think she still can if she wants to. I think her voice in the cure is quite similar to this. But her 'tougher' Voice is more remarkable so she sticks to it.

Whatever it is, she definitely needs to go back to this awesome raspy voice

Yes. Her pleasant airy tone changed but her voice is much more powerful now.

i think her voice peaked during the sydney monster hall performance. i really do miss that light, sugary voice that still carried depth. but her voice nowadays is so powerful that i cant complain.

Idk. I think she was at her vocal peak during the C2C era/tour.

Her voice is so much better imo.

Go figure. People don’t want her voice to get better apparently. Each album just gets better and better vocally imo

her vocals are from an objective standpoint gotten so much better. far more versatile, powerful, professional, and has better control over it. however i can understand how you may miss it considering it is, for many of us, why we started loving gaga. but i really can't imagine her still having that voice and think it'd get very boring very fast tbh.

I remember hearing Bad Romance, and the chorus’ emotive vocals HOOKED me.

It's not like she can't replicate that though, I mean, look at "The Cure." It's a perfect example of "Old Gaga" in terms of her voice. Also, "Dancin' In Circles" is a good example of that too.

Personally, I love her voice now. It's deeper (which is something I personally like), more resonant, and overall much more powerful and impactful.

Yes her speaking and singing voice have changed quite a bit over the years. And I absolutely love her raspy voice as much as I love her girly voice! And I miss her raspy voice tbh. It’s just as pleasing as her “Paparazzi” voice in my opinion.
