Say something nice about C2C

Cheek to Cheek gets a lot of shade and hate and is the butt of a lot of jokes here on GGD. We're all guilty. :selena: except the good sis @Rumours1977 who actively defends ha :diane:

Since C3C is around the corner :vegas:, I thought we'd pay tribute to one of Gaga's most polarizing projects:

I really appreciate how C2C defined Gaga as an artist who can transcend generations and genres.  It garnered so much respect from classics/jazz-listeners, elders and people who've never seen Gaga as a strong vocalist before. Dn5D.gif

Pop Music

I throughly love Goody Goody and Firefly.

My aunt tried to get me C2C Tour tix for my birthday but they sold out in 4 seconds and she was up at 5 am trying to get that.

It saved gaga's career and mind from the end of the traumatic ARTPOP era (for her not us) and so for that I could not say anything bad about it :kara:

criminally underrated

a great part of being a fan of gaga is her way to introduce you to new genres, i haven't taken to jazz but i've come to appreciate how soothing it can be

the fashion of the era really was some of her all time best

I love it :giveup::tony:

Lush Life makes me cry every time :kara:

Her voice is beautiful :tony: And you can tell she had so much fun making C2C. Can't wait for C3C. Take my coins, queen!

It has nearly everything we love about Gaga. Killer fashion (just look at my avi!), dramatic performances (Lush Life and Bang Bang, for example) and spot on vocals (basically all the time).

It's my absolute favorite Gaga side project so far because it felt really new and fresh. I had been hoping for a Tony / Gaga album ever since they did Lady And The Tramp. A flawless era, the queen was EVERYWHERE, and it was so nice to hear her full vocal range for the first time

music that make me fall in love to music are jazz, soul and bossanova i remember listenin pop jazz album like jamie and norah jones then i dive in to classic jazz album, at 00's i dont really listen to pop diva music like britney, beyonce, christina. i only listen them from mtv but i am living for pop punk rock & r&b. Until gaga came she bring something new the way i look pop music, shes so fun and for me is original. then until i know she did jazz before pop my wiiiig, and she colab with tony guuurrl. i love the way she bring jazz, combined something classic with rock and roll attitude, she really is authentic, not like a general pop puppet that only sell merchandise. i really support everything she does. beside her jazz punk fashun is snatchiiing my wiig

Why would it get shade? The album shows off her vocal ability, is creative as hell in a era ruled by generic ass electronic and trap stuff, and its very wholesome.
