Im so confused

Like im happy for Taylor but I don't understand her appeal at all

she's not a great singer or dancer, she's not very funny, her fashion and stages look meh so why is the entire USA eating her up? And I mean USA because In Europe people really don't care about her that much :

She actually writes good, singable pop songs, and is a good singer. She's not the greatest singer. Her songs are genuinely well-written for the most part, and she has a wide-ranged age demographic- meaning parents usually aren't afraid of their children listening to her.

That is true, I guess she's not as alienating for people as Gaga or Madonna can be for instance

People mostly forget that she has a COUNTRY FANBASE which is loyal as f_ck. Take that away from her and she'll be doing regular pop girl numbers. 

The other girls don't have a country following but they have a waaaay bigger pop following pretty much everywhere. Watch Madonna do six country albums and then tour and she'd do a BILLION. 

It's an unfair comparison, really.

OF COURSE when you're doing shows in 60,000ish people capacity venues, and doing a decent amount of shows, the grossing will be much higher than arena tours
