Stop calling Shawn Mendes 'gay'

I was watching this video earlier on Shawn Mendes addressing his sexuality and his answer was something I think we should all taken a moment to listen to. Especially every one of you who keeps calling him nasty names like "hunty".

"I don't know I just think like in this day and age like just like immaturity and ignorance is so high um and and it's crazy because there's so much like it couldn't be more easy to understand how it's not a bad thing do you know what I mean like it's been it's made so aware and so positive nowadays that you know when it did become a negative thing it was more it was less about my feelings being being hurt and more about me being frustrated with the immaturity of my generation um and that's kinda I just wanted to get across and it's not about making a big stink out of things it's about subtlety and just like you know I put up a couple of videos that I would delete in 24 hours you know um I just wanted to make a point and then move on with the day and I think that's what happened and it came across well."

Why are we so up in his business? STOP CALLING HIM A HUNTY. Leave him alone. He's completely right when he says the immaturity and ignorance of our millennial generation is so high.

And the comment section is just so toxic I can't even begin.

It's a term used within the drag/gay community when talking or referring to a friend.

I fully agree. It's just hysterical though that so many gays want people to be gays. It's been going on for decades and I don't think it's ever going to change. If he actually is gay and decides to one day come out,then I applaud him for wanting to share his true self. But it's not cute to make these nasty threads trying to out him. It's doing more harm than good quite frankly.
