If an album campaign makes a loss for the label then it's on them and on them alone. The worst thing that could happen is if she was dropped from the label but she's not. EMOTION has gained her a cult following so they're probably going to invest a ton into her next album just for the critical praise. 2. It absolutely does not take $15k for a song to be made. Especially with the connections that Carly has - a lot of the producers on EMOTION probably did it for free. 3. The royalties she got from Call Me Maybe could probably buy all of our houses combined. I don't think you know how much money big songs bring in. She could HAPPILY live off it for the rest of her life. 4. The Gimmie Love tour did decently and EMOTION sold ~200k. If she's taking 13% of it as you said, that's more than enough to substantiate her personal spendings.
