Sigh.....

No. It got amazing sales - I can’t remember exactly how much, but they were great. Physical sales were 2nd only to Adele, so no it didn’t ‘flop’.

Even if it only sold 1 copy, it made a huge cultural impact that will be remembered far longer than any sales figures or pressed people.

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks LEMONADE was a flop is BEYOND delusional. That album's cultural impact ALONE made it massively successful. It's a body of work, not just an album that's used as an excuse to put out radio singles.

If those rumours about tidal inflating lemonade's numbers are true, then it's fair to assume it underperformed.

With Beyoncé, we cannot be sure anymore. Her team is pretty much doing everything in their power to make her seem like an "Untouchable Queen", when in fact she's not. We can say she's an excellent performer, but she's not a selling force like Adele or even Marketing Swift.

Gypsy Life

How can we know? All her numbers are fake, fraudulent, and manipulated.

I mean the critical acclaim is huge and I didn't see a lot of people disliking it and it filled her a tour so.. no

But I am suspicious of the numbers after the tidal stuff :oprah:

And why is that? Most of her sales are from iTunes and physical albums. Tidal does not even have that many subscribers to secure ANYONE 4 million units lol.

The songs occupied the entire Top 10 of iTunes for a whole week when the album came out: http://kworb.net/pop/archive/20160425.html

It didn’t flop, but we now know that a lot of its numbers were faked, so it wasn’t as successful as previously thought.

TIDAL numbers were faked, NOT her actual sales. It sold over 1.5 million pure copies in the US alone. Do you guys even understand how this works?

Same. I was about to say "of course it didn't flop.. let me quote you some of the numbers"

Then, I remembered that the numbers may not even be true lol :wtfga:

WTF? That's only TIDAL, not actual sales. This is iTunes when Lemonade came out: http://kworb.net/pop/archive/20160425.html

Call me when anyone else has that many songs in the Top 10.

Because Tidal reported 300 million streams in 15 days from a total of (according to them) 3 million subscribers... That would mean every single tidal subscriber would have to listen to the album 6-7 times a day... 300 million streams is a big number.

On what planet is that anywhere near flop status?

It isn't a flop, not even close, I'm just suspicious cause Tidal has had more than one incident of faking numbers. Streams count to the SPS album sales.

Don't get so defensive... Bey is far from being a flop. The album had big impact no matter what the streaming numbers or album sales were and it sold her out a big tour as I have already mentioned. Chill.

My point is her Tidal numbers were a little part of the overall sales. She still sold 1 million copies in the US alone without any streaming.
