I don’t think you’re being idealistic, but I think you’re being too simplistic. Gaga, like everyone else, is multifaceted. She has many ambitions and goals. $300 million didn’t just fall on her head. Her projects and tours are carefully crafted to make as much money as they can. But that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t love her fans, her music and her community. She can do all those things. We can all learn a thing or two from Gaga’s business acumen. Also, there are lots of ultra high net worth people, like Bill Gates and Dolly Parton, who donate ridiculous amounts of charity. Gaga is one of them. Sure she loves her luxurious lifestyle and having successful businesses, but the only reason she can do the insane amount of philanthropy that she does is because she is wealthy. Would the GUY video exist if Gaga was a SoundCloud artist? Just watch in 30 years when Gaga’s net worth is in the high hundreds of millions, she’s going to be doing even more philanthropy and advocacy work because she has the funds to do so. I hope she have clear mind on deciding that already cos that is important. Rihanna’s make up line are targeting darker skin women by making available more darker tones which is very helpful since many cosmetics are not doin this enough. Madonna’s clearly targeting wimen her age with those anti aging and face lifting creams and such. And Kylie & Kim’s are targeting the YouTube young beauty vloggers which is very effective. They feature lots of young non-binary gendered people with street cred in their no nonsense commercials Simple packaging with holographic foil logos. She could pull that off. I noticed a lot of beauty gurus did their own versions of her AHS Hotel and recent Grammy looks, so I think while her fashion seems esoteric or inaccessible, from what I've seen, her makeup looks seem to be more inspiring to others IMO.
