An epidemic is when the disease starts to spread very quickly among a large group of people. What's happening now is an outbreak, meaning that the disease suddenly reappeared. 

The article says that 11,000 out of 28,000 infected people died, so there's definitely a chance for survival.

I hope the authorities learned something from last time and act fast. From what I have heard about Ebola is that what is paramount is that it doesn't spread. So get the afflicted in quarantine as soon as possible.

Thats insane that more than half survive. Does the virus liquify your organs and make you bleed from like every orifice. 

Anyway. There are actually cures for it that are in the testing phases. I did a project for this virus like 3 years ago so who knows a cure could be coming out soon.

OT: Hopefully new effective containment strategies are in place so this can reduce the spread of the virus. Since a vaccine is still under works and a therapeutic cure isn’t going to be available any time soon, prevention and patient support are the best options available.

Lmao. HIV came from a human having sex with a chimpanzee. 

Ebola comes from a bat and I think it started with some old African culture ****. Don’t know if it was sex but something funky lol

HIV is believed to have originated from consumption of bush meat and the contact mixing of non-human primate blood and human blood. Not sexual intercourse.

Ebola is far more complex, but is believed to have originated from cave exploration with infected bat feces or consumption of bush meat.

Both viruses have even more complex origins than just that, as viruses must attain critical mutations in their genome to be able to cross species boundaries, and this requires strong selective pressures to guide in this evolution
