For some reason I wasn't part of any Gaga communities back then. Strange, because I've been online since the times the Internet was little more than corporate sites and webpages made by dads for their kids with pictures of kittens and a guest book. When adresses with only 'coming soon' on them could last for ages.

Not that I had to, since she could be seen almost daily in traditional media back then.

Far from it. It was a very fun time. Vevo was pretty much starting and I remember being perched for new Lady Gaga videos. It was very exciting watching Telephone in 1080p. Alejandro was also a moment, with all the snippets. Then she won the VMA and sang Born This Way for the first time and the rumors started coming. I bought my copy of the deluxe version of The Fame Monster in the beginning of 2010 and spent the whole year playing it. Social media was new and exciting, I spent a lot of time checking Gaga on Twitter. I would say 2009-2011 were the best years to ge a Gaga stan. I started losing interest in her predating the ARTPOP era. It was a lot of rumors, shitty quality leaks and promises. By the time the album was out I was tired and the sound was lacking for me. Then I started to check other discographies and Gaga took her time off. Cheek To Cheek was boring. The most exciting thing was that "you should buy 10" gif. That show was a complete mess. Then there was another long gap and I kept investing in other singers. I enjoyed the beginning of the Joanne era, I was thirsty for new Gaga music but the era also died pretty quickly since everything nowadays has a short spam. It's kinda sad that I'm not as invested in her as I was in 2010-2011. If you check my Last.fm you'll see that I spend a lot of time playing other artists. I think Gaga is not even in my top 10 anymore.

This was the same exact experience for me, except the Born This Way was the start of me losing interest.. But 2009-2011 were literally the best years to be a Gaga fan. So new and eciting .
