Like a lot of you said earlier in the threat, it's so strange how we compare records from decades ago (where people had to go out and physically buy the album) to records nowadays that are based off of streaming feats. It just seems like an unfair comparison :saladga:

Its comparing apples and oranges

There's no way to make an exact measurement of how many streams should count as one sale

It's a shame the chart rules have been bent now with streaming :/

I remember when Gaga was banned from having Hair, Venus and DWUW from being in the charts until the albums came out as UK charts only allowed 1 iTunes pre order song to count.

The records Born This Way would've broken...

To me the Beatles were garbage. They can't even sing for beans on top of that

This is a criticism of The Beatles I've never heard. They're known as mainly a vocal band. Many of their songs feature layered and complex harmonies.

It doesn't take much to surpass the Beatles tbh

Those awful singers wouldn't of gotten one shred of success if it wasn't for the timing they came out at

In my humble opinion, Pink Floyd deserves the acclaim the Beatles get every single time.

Those guys have an impeccable discography and their impact remains.

But quality music is also highly opinionated so that's why I say "in my opinion"
