Economy

Is great!

However there's other aspects to look at, you  cannot look at health of the economy by unemployment alone. For example income inequality as well as average income and by those measures it is not the greatest its been. There's also the labor force participation rate which although it's began recovering it's still low

But progress nevertheless :)

Thanks Obama

I call it "reverse woke". I don't think there's any true Trump supporters here (at least, not in the active group of members), just apologists or people who try to give conservatives and Trumpettes room to speak their mind. The latter of which I'm fine with, nothing wrong with sharing opposing view points.

But yeah, this trend and these numbers are definitely thanks to Obama. Our next president will be dealing with the numbers that Trump caused just like Obama dealt with the numbers Bush caused.

While this would make sense if you dont look at the numbers, it doesnt. Unemployment has been going down for a number of years and has continued to under Obama's policies. Trump hasnt had enough time in the presidency to drastically change thing in this regard yet.

This is a continuation of Obama era policies. Wait a few years for Trumps

People put way too much stock on Presidents. There's many other factors at play such as State Governments and rest of world economy (been recovering faster since 2015 and helping US exports for example)

But honestly I think this has more to do with the US Energy boom which #1 created high paying jobs, #2 has helped manufacturing that supply them, #3 reduce trade deficit

Also the last crisis corrected many imbalances that made foundation for solid growth long term

Neither of these are a result of Obama or Trump

Im not sure why Trump fans would even be here. Gaga is the antithesis of Trump in every possible way

Trump supporters can’t like a singer? :oprah:

Tbh I don't think it's thanks to Obama. He didn't put in any major reforms of such huge significance that I'm aware of that on their own merit would cause such a long expansion

I think this has more to do with the energy boom that started in 2010 that created high paying jobs in oil sector and created secondary manufacturing jobs and kept trade deficit smaller than it normally would get in the US during an expansion

Also the crisis in 2008/2009 correct a lot of fundamental imbalances that has allowed strong sustainable growth

As for Trump... He would have a small impact but an impact nevertheless by giving businesses confidence with his tax cut retoric. Not a huge impact but perhaps the boost of confidence is also helping to extend the expansion that was already happening before he was President

Some ppl love music and videos not everyone has to support an artist to literally live their art so I don't agree with what ur saying at all

Not defending Trump tho. I'm just saying I don't think one thing has to block the other

I would agree if it were just singing along to songs in the car radio or on cd but why would go on a website to stan that artist? You would be 150% maximum overdrive supporting her beliefs in this case.

Hum I dunno. Gaga is my fav solo artist of all time and I love her music and videos etc

I don't necessarily follow her or come here because of her way of life tho. To me she's good in the sense that she promotes equality and fair treatment but there's also times I think she's too extra in political views

I get where ur coming from tho. If someone was that opposite in thinking like a Trump supporter and came here regularly that's kind of contradictory

Like im not saying you need to support all of her beliefs. For example im strongly against cupping and i dont smoke pot. However, if you are stanning her you would likely support her most basic beliefs like you said equality and justice for all. You would also likely be a little left wing at the very least.

I think I'm more libertarian than left tbh

I'm more left on social issues (not hardcore left tho)

But on economic issues I'd consider myself centre-right

Actually the Conservative Right Winged Party here in Canada (they were in power for 9 years before Trudeau) by US standards would probably somewhat reflect libertarians in US

They are socially liberal still (At least by US standards) but quite right winged on economy)
