Two Gaga topics in one thread

There are two questions that I've been asking myself for a few days now, and I didn't want to spam Gaga Daily so I decided to join my two topics in one thread. Both are about Gaga anyway. :emma:

-------------------------------------------------------

FIRST TOPIC: (which is a bit shallow actually, the second one seems more interesting to me)

Many Monsters love to talk about "holy trinities", so I wanted to know what were the three songs/music videos/live performances/instrumentals/outfits you would keep if you had to make a choice. Which one are your absolute favorites, the ones you almost couldn't live without, the ones that scream "LADY GAGA" the most to you? :queenga: (with AND without Aura and Perfect Illusion for the intrumentals' part).

To me, these would be:

Songs:

- Scheiße

- Bloody Mary

- The Edge of Glory

Music Videos:

- Telephone

- Judas

- The Edge Of Glory

Live Performances:

- Paparazzi at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards

- The Sound of Music Medley at the 2015 Ocars

- The Super Bowl 51 Halftime Show

Instrumentals:

- Monster

- Aura (Poker Face without the Aura option)

- Hey Girl

Outfits:

- The McQueen vintage dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

- The Meat Dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

- The Brandon Maxwell silver dress at the 2015 GRAMMYs

-------------------------------------------------------

SECOND TOPIC:

Some of you may think that I'm living under a rock for not knowing this, BUT:

I've been listening to The Fame Monster a lot lately, and I always got the theme of the record, but I never thought about the title before.

The record is all about the different fears that can haunt us in our little lives. So why is the album called The Fame Monster and not just Monster, since none of the eight songs have references to fame, paparazzi and so on? :oprah:

I'm kind of obsessed with this question right now.

-------------------------------------------------------

PS: Please remember to be nice with other little monsters, we all share the same passion, so "stop throwing stones at your sisters and your brothers."  :kara:

Can't narrow down my trinities, but although TFM is a separate entity of TF, they are also two halves of one whole. The Fame represents the fun side of the fame - money, clothes, stardom, etc, while TFM represents the dark sides of it - addiction, loneliness, downfall, etc. All the "monsters" that the fame brings.

Didn't she say that she wrote the album about the fears of the fans she met while touring? I mean, they're not famous. Or maybe it has something to do with the "inner fame" she used to talk a lot about? :oprah:

So you think that it was just a commercial choice? Don't you think it has a hiden meaning for Gaga? What you say is more than possible, but I'm just wandering. :)

Concerning the other topic, I can understand you since the music is the core of her job. But I can't imagine myself listening to her music without thinking of the visuals and everything

because all those fears and feelings were like consequences for the fame. and DITD references a lot of famous people

+ Neither TF/TFM were about fame like a celebrity/ famous person. They're about the feeling of inner fame which everyone can experience. So these fears come from this kind of behavior you may have.

Even Paparazzi is not really about the photographers, she aludes to them to explain how she'll pursue her fame and her love/her man

Imagine having the covers with the title 'LADY GAGA - MONSTER, don't you think is pretty obvious GP would get it as 'LADY GAGA as a the MONSTER' instead of  'the MONSTER that haunts LADY GAGA'.

Being called only 'MONSTER' could been leading to misinterpretations.

Spoiler

I think :emma:

It would be a monster FOR the fame then, not the fame monster :cryga::ladyhaha:

But you're probably right about the inner fame part

Interesting vision; but the whole GP thinks The Fame is about getting famous though :oprah:

Idk :cryga: i think she/interscope wanted to keep "The Fame" in the title because of the big success and TFM was intended to be TFs continuation, so "Monster Of Fame" or something like that would have been a missed opportunity
