Dunk96 2,526
Janet obviously. RN1814 is her greatest 80s album and it's an essential listen. But for those who haven't listened to the album whether at all or even in a small capacity should not be able to vote in this. This poll should be for those who have listened to both full albums. Eddie A Michael 362
Seriously? Lol this is like an insult to Rhythm Nation 1814. That album is so culturally significant. There’s no one good thing to be said about AL.
Inferno 2,880
Rhythm Nation 1814 is pure iconic pop perfection from start to finish and not only was groundbreaking but was incredibly influential American Life is nice, its commendable. But its also dull and pretentious. Her fanbase tends to romanticize it these days since it was so critically and commercially panned at the time of its release, they like rework that into it being "underrated" and some sort of secret masterpiece that only real fans can get into. Giving it this niche accessibility. But is it worth it? eh.
