Do you enjoy interludes?

Many artists seem to relly enjoy putting an intro and one or two interludes in their albums.

For example: - Xtina has an intro in every album since Stripped and 2-3 interluudes in Stripped - Bionic

- Halsey has 1 intro and 1 interlude in HFK

- Tinashe has 5 INTERLUDES and 1 outro in her debut Aquarius and 3 in Joyride

I personally dislike interludes. Sometimes they're there to introduce a new theme in the album but I find them so anticlimatic.

And I hate intros. The opening track of an album is supposed to be memorable, strong, set the mood for the whole album and make the listener want to go on with listening but intros are just so... meh.. so unnecessary for an album's cohesiveness.

Oh and sometimes artists have a limited number of tracks for an album and prefer to fill the spots with an 1-minute interlude instead of a song..... :saladga:

Tove Lo does this, too, and has done it on all of her albums if I’m not mistaken. It’s not really something I’m into.

Yes as long as they sound creative or fit with the concept and theme of the album, and to me it’s an enjoyable experience when listening to the album from beginning to end

Depends on how they fit with the album honestly. Sometimes they're great, others just a skip-able mess.

Beyoncé has some amazing interludes: Yoncé, Ghost, Bow Down are all three among the best tracks on ST.

It's said the map of the world is on you. The moon gravitates around you. The seasons escape you.

I like them when they feel in place which is mostly not the case lol there is this one Japanese band that I listen to, that has 3 interludes and a "postlude" with 4 songs on a mini album and the songs are connected so well through the interludes that it's amazing to listen to. So yeah it needs to be done right. Most of the time they feel quite pointless though...

The only intro i ever liked was Lotus by Xtina. Then again i didn't like the rest of the album.:poot:

I love interludes mainly because they make listening to an album a full experience.

I don’t know any but they sound cool, the problem is when you put your whole library on shuffle and you have to skip them.

I do if they make sense - but if it’s just random sounds... no. Put a shorter good song in there instead.

Not necessarily, but I do like me an album with songs that seamlessly segue into one another. I think it's a nice experiment Gaga could pull off.
