There are other qualities to an artist than writing music. Half of the artist that claim to write their own songs could benefit from some extra writers tbh.

My point is, that Beyonce can't be on MJs level, when he was a genious writer and she can't write a(good) song even if her life depends on it.

Of course you agree... my statements were factual from the beginning. I don't even know why you tried to argue about it in the first place if you have not enough knowledge/informations about Hard Candy/Madonna

Ok first of all, all I said was 4 minutes was barely a hit. Which of course it  was not a massive hit like you are trying to make it seem. 10 weeks is not a long time in the top 10 especially for 2008. Second you don’t need get rude with me. It’s a fact that beside touring, Madonna’s presence on the hot 100 has been non existent since 2005. The part I agreed with you on was the touring.

But Beyoncé did sell 20M with Lemonade :whitney:

In what dimension ?! :toofunny:

Beyoncé sold 2.5 millions of Lemonade in 2016. And not much after that.

Right because Britney can sing right? Oh and Britney outgrossed Beyoncé in touring right? And let’s not pretend that all of britney’s “hit” singles plummeted off the charts after reaching their peaks. Britney’s album kept on declining after her debut album. Beyoncé has managed to stay relevant much longer than Britney. So don’t go there. Sorry bout it. I like Britney but don’t make it seem that she is bigger than Beyoncé. I think they’re about equal.

O k I guess :poot: Whatever it had to do with my comment..... :poot:

I said she has sold more albums and she has. Never claimed that anything you mentioned wasn't true. My point is that Beyonce is overrated and overpraised, when she is not actualy THAT successful as everyone claims.

Beyoncé has been absent of the hot 100 in a decade with the exception of Drunk In Love (which had just a bit less longevity than 4minutes) :toofunny: Are you questioning her relevancy too ?

Bey is relevant and doesn't have a good charts history. Madonna post 2008 is the same.

4 minutes got 2 grammy nominations :laughga: What even are you talking about ? :laughga:

And people remember Formation because it's 2 years old. It won't be a career highlight just like 4 minute isn't. And what had impact was the whole "black panther" thing during her SB performance. Not the song itself.

PS : I won't answer anymore, because it's the second time you're trying to use wrong and false info. It literally takes 2s to check grammy nominations on Wikipedia. You're just trying hard without any solid ground. :laughga:

you don't have to reply to me. I don't care if you do or don't. You're entitled to your own wrong opinion. As I stated earlier formation had impact and will be remembered for long time as highlight in Beyonce's catalog. (i'm sure the professional critics agree as well). all in all, 4 minutes was nothing but a moderate hit on the chart with no longevity. what i meant by no grammy noms was she had no Important category nominations nor a win like formation, of course I knew she was nominated but it was nothing important to really note. so I don't know why you are trying to prove to me that a mediocre song and moderate had more impact than formation lol. Formation's impact was undeniable. Nobody remembers 4 minutes because the GP was to busy buying and sending "Touch My Body" to number 1. so, have a blessed day. :giggle:

FATCAT

I'm not touching this thread with a 20-foot poll, but I think it's worth mentioning that MJ will lose his shine in future generation, because of the allegations. He won't ever be forgotten, but Beyonce atm stands to leave a more lasting legacy, even if people consider it to be over-hype.

This kitten over here (meow)
