How would the pop music scene have looked like?

I mean it's no secret that Gaga impacted pop music at some point and inspired many, many of her contemporary female artists.

Let's just put it this way: do you really think half of those mainstream skinny bitches who were all about being sexy and hot woke up someday and decided to be all artsy, creative, dark and wear outfits to make statements? (with the exception of some, of course!)

I mean, before Gaga showed up, I don't recall artists putting too much thoughts into creating a song, an album, or even a performance with a deep concept and excessively detailed artistic meaning? (again, with the exception of some!)

So if Stefani had chosen to be a waitress instead of the extravagant Lady Gaga, do you think pop girls would've still been all about being hot with nothing so interesting about them?

Very generic mainstream pop music with a few iconic moments. Plus every pop girl would probably still dress normal and have princess/pageant girl theme music.

Then there would not be Lady Gaga. They will skip it to some other woman or something. And probably Madonna won’t have to be nasty to somebody, too, which cost a lot of discomfort for many.

Honestly, probably somebody else would've come along. I LOVE Lady Gaga, don't get me wrong, but I'm pretty sure that there were many other "unique" young women trying to break through at the time who just didn't get as lucky.
