It’s ok to admit that Gaga’s Coachella wasn’t the best. Doesn’t make you a bad fan. But why would I when I just liked it more? It's also about the music. I'm much more into Gaga's and barely know Beyonce's. I thought Gaga's was magical and intimate and full of great songs and costumes+visuals. Beyonce's was great but I'm just not into dancing as much. Liking Gaga's set more doesn't mean I'm just saying that because I'm a fan. I just like Gaga's kind of performance more. Not singing and dancing with a few symbols. In my personal opinion (and this may not be others' experience), Beyonce's performances feel sterile. She does everything she does well. She's like 5 good things put together. But it lacks an intimacy, an embodiment of your work that most Gaga performances have. Gaga's is like above and beyond even if it doesn't have the five perfect things. I'm thinking of Paparazzi from VMA 2009. Barely any real choreo (except for the dancers themselves). Even Coachella with the new song, the talking, the interludes, everything. Gaga wore a black bodysuit for the entire performance and threw a couple pieces over it - one of which being a tour merch crop top, the other being a denim jacket that looked like the team whipped it up the night before. Visuals? The intro visuals are good, but the image with the lizard could have been done better. The only piece that stood out and reminds even close to interesting is the A-YO visuals. Her speeches were so messy, so all over the place, and clearly did not land with a crowd of people who were predominantly not her super fans. BEYONCE DELEVERED DURING HER SET. She had an amazing theme, a great intro, she put together a major production... From the music production(setlist/mixer), set production, choreography, vocals, live band, the show felt intimate for me and I am in no way a Beyonce fan, even the video production (done beauitfully to capture the show beautifully for the people at home) Beyonce's was just better, and saying that doesn't make me any less of a fan. Honestly, I really hope that Gaga watched and this kicks her into gear to come out firing on all cylinders and deliver something spectacular

My comment was directed at siptea, and no one else. So idk why you thought I was speaking to you but no worries. Btw that’s not shady lmao I’m being legit but my point to siptea was that he or she was using an invalid reason to criticize her performance. Beyoncé In fact does use live instruments and bands. She also attempts interludes that change songs. Gaga stopped doing that and that’s what I miss. Her visuals and her way to change a song so it’s fresh sounding. SpamMusubi 1,010
I'm not a big fan, but honestly good for Beyonce. She really worked her butt off preparing for this show and I think she deserves the acclaim. Sushi is my one true passion
