Will the ASIB soundtrack really be THAT huge?

Uhm, there's still literally 6 months lefts till the movie will be out. If they'd start promoting heavily right now, who would remember after 6 months lol. No, it takes just a little announcement and reminder like 1,5 max 2 months before release tbh.

When did they start talking about La La Land or Greatest Showman?

In the US, La La Land first trailer was released 6 months before the movie. ASIB will likely be the same. ASIB also had an EW interview with Cooper and some pics released.

I don't think ppl think it will be a big era but even at that. Releasing a soundtrack and an album in the same year is not very common. Rih did it and that's not common. Gaga WILL push at least 1 single HARD. This is a given. I just highly doubt we will get about 20+ songs worth of music in one year from a soundtrack and a album. It will be just the soundtrack this year imo.

I'm gonna make a direct comparison to Madonna.

If the music isn't just movie/musical music and there's a track or two on there that are huge she could very easily have an I'm Breathless on her hands. That album for Madonna spawned VOGUE which is THE Madonna single. So if this Soundtrack is filled with new original music that fits the movie but also fits her discography AS WELL AS the radio. We could have a monster coming.

 

In the same vein though I see this being a way for Gaga to expand her acclaim, not so much about hits more about legacy. There's a lot of awards that movies and soundtracks get nominated for and if there's even a minor hit on here, we will see Grammy, Emmy and Oscar noms.

And I never said that it’s not huge for me personally. I just don’t think that the soundtrack will have a huge impact on her career + it’s a remake. I already here the GP screaming.

In my opinion it’s very overhyped on that forum. Sure not for us, but some of you forget that the GP is NOT US.

And please don’t get me wrong. I Hope it gets huge, but sadly I know the GP very well, and y’all should too. They love to drag real quality stuff and special music. 

Question apart: Do you know if Remakes from old movies have a lot of chances to win the Oscars?  I am scared that they are like „**** off“

I don't think it will be huge. Not like Justin Timberlake's ,Can't Stop The Feeling huge. But maybe it will be a bit like the soundtrack of Evita. Not that big but it did give Madonna a grammy.

Yep. And honestly I prefer having really good music wich won’t get incredibly huge then a hit like Can’t stop the feeling. It’s so basic

Oh I wasnt meaning to quote you per se.   Lol. I was speaking in general. 

I doubt the soundtrack will make a HUGE impact of her career but I could see it having a hit or two. Kinda like how an EP would do, maybe. 

All I know is I'm happy theres something coming in the not so distant future and I enjoy all her music so I know ill enjoy it!  Yay.  😁

And ya never know.  It IS Lady Gaga...her first film starring role....Bradley Cooper who has been a hit for awhile is part of the process.  The public has had a break from her for awhile.  I hope it hits!!  But regardless we get new music AND a movie. We are what matters anyway. Hahaha.

Yes sis but when I said "lead" I meant lead vocals etc, she's the main persona for the movie & soundtrack  

 

For the oscar, yes, they'll probably chase it for "original song" and that's why they will probably promote the soundtrack or at least one hand picked single just like TIHTY was promoted in 2015. 

 

About success, i have no clue, but there's a feeling this soundtrack was made to be sold as a "debut pop record"... we'll see.
