Will the ASIB soundtrack really be THAT huge?

So I was speaking about that in several threads but now I have to make one cause I really wanna know what y’all think about it.

Many people act like „Oh no, there is ASIB coming, there is NO time for something else“ or things like that and hype this soundtrack way to much. I don’t say that LG6 will come this year, the thread is not about that (but I still think it’s possible )

The point is: Do you guys honestly think that the ASIB Soundtrack will be THAT big? 

My opinion:

First, I know there is the Movie with it and promotion too but we all know it’s not a huge blockbuster movie so there will not be a huge promotional tour.

2.I am very sure that this soundtrack will not have only Gaga songs. I mean that’s really obvious.

3.Its a Soundtrack, not an Gaga album so automatically Gaga will not be THAT involved as if it was her album.

4.Do Soundtracks even have promotion?  I mean, I took the example from „Mama Mia“ in another thread. This is a movie wich has (in my opinion) a very important soundtrack album with it since it’s a music film. But honestly they didn’t promote it at all. Maybe a few tv spots from time to time idk. I personally saw the soundtrack weeks after the release at a store.

So guys, I am waiting for your opinion and discussion...

EDIT: I am especially referring about the impact it would have on Gaga’s shedule/Career not the soundtrack itself

I guess it depends on how do they wanna promote it. So there's no way we could know the answer as of now.

We don’t know until we get there

It could be full of music like Fifty Shades, The Great Gatsby or The Hunger Games, all of which has had hits come from their soundtracks.  On the flip side, it could be nothing but some music from the background and one or two Lady Gaga songs.

We really don’t know what’s coming with it, it’s not easy to speculate what to expect when we know so little about the music on there except that Gaga’s the lead and we know she’s recorded some original songs for it.

Yes that’s true. They became huge hits on their solo albums

I’m so confused by your point here because all of the songs I’m referring to were hits when the movie came out and the soundtrack dropped, only a couple of those artists put those tracks on their albums as bonus tracks.

 BUT I’m not gonna argue cause I want LG6 too

I don’t know where you live (seriously, not to drag you ) but maybe it’s true in the country you live! But I am speaking of Europe. Here, only a few of this songs really became hits, and this few where the people having it on their albums. If you come from the US then it’s really possible what you say. But don’t forget the rest of the world. If the soundtrack only becomes a hit soundtrack in the us this won’t help.

Look at The Bodyguard. That movie gave Whitney her two biggest hits: IWALY & I Have Nothing. I secretly hope we will get at least one world wide hit for Gaga. Or am I delusional

Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling! from Trolls is also another example. No you're not delusional.

I would be happy if we get a hit as huge as Million Reasons, being certified platinum and getting nominated for Grammys and all that.

there will be some form of a promotional tour, but the movie isn't THAT heavily anticipated. it won't be released in 3,000+ theaters like blockbusters. it will have a modest opening weekend, make Warner Brothers a small profit and it will be called a success. they will push a lead single, of course, and that will fare as well as it does based on quality + promotion. outside of that, the music won't make a splash.
