Benji 20,113
I sort of agree with the bombing. We can’t have countries attacking their own citizens with chemical attacks or any other country’s citizens, there needs to be a deterrent and punishment for doing such awful actions. My only doubt in our actions is regarding the evidence but Russia has been attacking people in the U.K. with chemical weapons and denying it and trying to interfere with international elections and refferendums so I feel convinced that whatever side they take is most likely the one that needs to be stopped. They’re trying to cast doubts on the evidence and I believe more in my country, the U.S. and Europe than them.

melon 3,669
this topic interests me so much for various reasons. I don’t disagree with the targeted strikes, I think they were however a bit premature. I do wish that the OPCW (hopefully got its name right) was able to check the site to verify the use of Sarin/chlorine gas. Just because although I do believe they have been used, many people (rightly) question the governments involved due to a lack of trust in them. however the fact remains that Russia and Syria both have a track record of utilising chemical weapons without regard for their own citizens and/or citizens of other nations. I hope eventually the Syrian people overthrow Assad but I do fear this conflict will last even longer than it has done already and the fake accounts on twitter propagating misinformation about the Syrian regime and Russia are just too effective tbh, it’s just sad. show me to me please

First as a syrian who lives in Damascus I want you to know that the majority of Syrians do support Assad as we don’t want some extreme Islamists terrorists to rule our country (that are supported financially and military wise by the American system along with Saudi Arabia and friends). Second there was no use whatsoever of chemical weapons in Ghouta (we have family and relatives living there and the only damage they had was done by those terrorists that finally the Syrian army managed to save). Syria has no chemical weapons and Thor’s videos were totally fabricated and proven to be fake but unfortunately the media shows the world what works for their agenda. Third this strike was a joke, and just to save face water for trump, he totally made a joke of himself, the strikes targeted 3 locations that has nothing to do with chemical weapons lol! And thank go syrian defense managed to drop most of these missles. I’m just worried now what could be the response from Russia (hopefully nothing will happen as I wish no harm for anyone) meanwhile people are celebrating victory here in Damascus with music. and we should believe a "newbie" who came here just to post this because..... lmfao, trolls are doing too much lately lol 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗮 • 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲 • 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲-𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗼𝗿 • 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻
