It explains: -The rise of tech -The rise of women -Corruption of media -Corruption in fashion (And Alexander's suicide) -The exploitation of women -US Russian involvement It's literally a piece of art and I'm pissed people don't see this. Whether it was Gaga's vision or not, I can't help but watch it and interpret it to the times. A lot of people just see Gaga and weirdness, but I see a deep message that explains a lot. I've felt this way with Thriller, Baby One More Time, Oops I Did It Again, Spice Up Your Life, Backstreet Boy's Everybody, Cher's Believe, Madonna's Hung Up, Like A Prayer, Ray of Light. It took over culture, internet in ways no one could've expected. If streaming + views counted back then, Bad Romance would've probably been the longest running #1 ever. Anywho, I have always seen the video as prostitution. Since it's on the FAME monster, i always assumed it was a metaphor for fame? She is selling herself to this man, the fans/public. she dances for him, puts on a show while he sits around and watches. people bid of her, which is a symbol of people buying her album/singles. at the end, she kills him. which symbolizes how she is nothing what we are going to expect, and her career is going to set fire to all of our expectations.
