Nothing good. The only news about her is bad news. Also, showbiz at the time was busy reporting new and upcoming things like My Chemical Romance and Fallout Boys.

Really interesting and very cool :poot:

But seriously, she released Gimmie More and Piece of me that year so it wasn't that bad to be a fan.

It was awful, every day  there was something on the news about her. It was painful to watch someone self destruct and had no signs of improving or getting the help she needed. Radio stations were making wagers on when she would pass away from either suicide or drug overdose.

I was in middle school when I discovered her music. As you know, those are some of the toughest years and kids are cruel, so adding the fact that I openly admitted to like Britney didn't make things any easier for me. People thought I was low key weird or crazy. Every media outlet was making her the butt of their jokes and everybody was speculating that she might commit suicide. It was a really tough time. I remember listening to her music on my iPod nano, hoping that she'd eventually get better because I thought her music was incredible.

Also watching the South Park episode they did on her years later was low key sooo real, because at one point in time people legit thought she was going to kill herself. That could have easily been a reality.

Very sad. I remember coming back from school everyday to read the news about her, and even though some of her gas station appearances were amusing, the media did so much ill on her and were merciless when it came to depicting her. The impact that had on me is probably the reason why I'm so happy she's living life happily now. I didn't live it but I get the magnitude of the hell she went through and all the mental scars she lives with up to this day.

Even though her happiness means the bleacher tickets for her show are like $300 and I can't pay so much to go see her :cryga:
