Sudden "90's VHS Imagery" Trend in Music???

Lately, I've been noticing the same reoccurring theme in music videos recently. I don't think I'm exaggerating, because here's some evidence...even the font is the same minty green color. Here's when they were released...

The first 5 seconds of the new Chainsmokers video... April 2nd

The Weekend on multiple old school tv sets... April 2nd

Charlie Puth's "90's home footage" lyric video... April 2nd

Cardi B HEAVILY is featured on a 90's TV quality screen...April 2nd

and now yesterday Calvin Harris did the same thing...April 5th

Do you like this new trend? Are you here for more 90's throwback visuals in music going forward? Are artists getting TOO nostalgic in their work?

I love the 90s cause I grew up in it so I think this vibe is cool. I just don't like when it feels forced and the music doesn't go along with it

If that aesthetic matches with the music, then I don't really have much of an issue with it. Although, I can definitely see it becoming an overused troupe :green:

It kinda looks good tho

What I noticed as well is a lot of them are using that Druk Wide font on single/album covers, looks good as well

What’s in a reverse-warholian expedition?

The 90's were so iconic, they were so messy yet brilliant at the same time.

Also, let us not forget, this was the decade that gave us the 'Grammy Year of Women' in 1999 :firega:
