U2 is Interscope and can do anything. But because Gaga is pop, they've been forcing her to stay in one lane. I do think that they've learned a bit though. They didn't have to even let her do C2C and then Joanne after that (cancelling the full pop album). Joanne still had its things too where Perfect Illusion seemed like a business decision as did A-YO, though, luckily, MR ended up becoming the second single. But again, they didn't let her make any more singles from Joanne because they didn't wanna promote them and spend money on them (I do think Gaga would've wanted more, just like she did for BTW and AP). But I do understand that these songs are obtained through ilegal means and that Bobby/Gaga's team have all the right to try to stop that.
