Joanne was NOT for the fans

I never left! I stayed a loyal fan through everything. I adored the ARTPOP era in all it's messiness.

I also think that PI might be able the fans.

If I remember correctly though, she hinted at some point that Joanne was written after Bowie died, because his death left Gaga thinking about the kind of messages she wants to leave behind as her legacy, and who she wants to be remembered as as a person. I think introspective thinking was what made her scrap the original LG5 content. She wants to know that if she dies at a young age, her music will represent a talented, warm, thoughtful, and even flawed person. Not just some girl who gets drunk at parties or sings about unicorns.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Joanne is absolutely one of my favorite albums to listen to, but it isn't every day listening for me. It fits perfectly into my mood when I'm angry or sad, which is what I believe Gaga fueled the album with. It helps heal me in these moods. I'm grateful that she took a chance and put out this record. It's not perfect, but it was what she and I, at least, needed.

Same! I listen to The Fame Monster the most, but Joanne is such a good record for my mood. It's also my favorite to blare with my windows open in my car driving fast. The screaming makes it so exhilarating.
