It's a tie for my favorite between Paparazzi and this song, but I decided to go with Paper Gangsta just because it's so underrated, by the fanbase and Gaga herself. The lyrics are top notch and sonically it's the epitome of what The Fame is all about, it's modern disco, it's in your face, it's THAT song.

I love disco, pop, camp, the whole thing but when Gaga takes a flavor I particularly am all about and goes off on it, I'm in HEAVEN. And Paper Gangsta takes me there. It is THAT song.

I’m surprised that I like this song so much. Just like Starstruck, the beat is very catchy and overall it’s a cute track.

I related with this song so much couple months ago, that's why it surpassed "Brown Eyes", as now I really know how it is to be surrounded with people who does not give you enough credit or do not believe in you, as well as fake people who, in front of you, they're as nice as your BFF, but behind your back, they talk sh*t about you or tries to bring you down secretly.
Such toxicity will eventually turn into loss in confidence in one person, that wants it to become a way to outwit you, unfortunately.
But this track also revels that you are aware of these people's will, so you won't accept their "offers", their "friendship" anymore. It's also about self confidence and knowing what's good for ya.
This track became so personal to me that's turning more and more likely as I keep listening to it.
Such a great track with a great message. Don't care if Gaga didn't really join into the rap game, I think she did it well just for its content.

It took me a few years to appreciate this song. I like the message and the use of her voice. It's a bit long and repetitive though, she could have cut the "Don't want no paper gangsta" after the chorus.
